Welcome to the Fairgrounds! Stay a while, play some games, and find some fun people to explore Altera with!

The goal of The Fairgrounds is to offer some entertainment for everyone during their downtime.
When you can't find a group to RP with, when there are no events going on, but you want to enjoy yourself online.
That's when you come to the Fairgrounds. Play a few games by yourself, until some others come to play games too.
At some point, there'll be a group of people, and then you can move away together to RP elsewhere!

It's never the intention to keep people here. It's meant to help with the hard few steps to get together.
And of course to give you something fun to do if you can't find anyone to RP with!

Current Features

RP locations

- [ Tavern ] -
A place to gather for a drink and plan to which town to move the RolePlay to.

- [ Market Stalls ] -
Anyone may host events at The Fairgrounds.
The market stalls are the place to host larger market events at.

- [ Stables ] -
Transports can be linked up to The Fairgrounds here!


IC minigames

- [ Barrel Rolling ] -
A Dwarven invention where 2 players push each other off a slope.

- [ DarkShine Table ] -
An Altera/HollowWorld unique board game for 2 players, read the rules here.

- [ Hedge Maze ] -
A casual stroll through the garden, try not to get lost!


OOC minigames

- [ Dripleaf Spleef ] -
Run around with up to 4 people and try not to fall between the leaves!


Planned Features

RP locations

- [ Ballroom ] -
Anyone may host events at The Fairgrounds.
The ballroom is a place to host larger gatherings and festival events at.

- [ Town Advertisements ] -
A place to advertise the towns of Altera that are open to the public.
Once a group of players gathers here, they can check the advertisements to decide where to RP at next.


IC minigames

- [ Blackjack Table ] -
A location to play some blackjack at.

- [ Precision Archery ] -
AbsentUser and JennyBean will build a special archery range.
The closer to the target, the higher your score!

- [ Gambling Machines ] -
Hopefully some redstone experts will help create gambling machines.



OOC minigames

- [ Horse/Pig Race ] -
A race around the fairgrounds on horse or piggyback!

- [ Boat Race ] -
A race up and down the river, passing the beautiful New Soolera region.

- [ Obstacle Race ] -
A race on foot that includes parkour

- [ Parkour Challenges ] -
All buildings will be customized to become parkour challenges.

- [ Dark Maze ] -
A maze underground, built from black terracotta. Not for people with claustrophobia.

If you want your town to be featured in the Town Advertisements, please fill in this form!

This information will be put in a book specifically made for your town. It'll be like a tourist brochure or guide to draw folks in, so make your descriptions count

Town Name:
{The name of your town}
How to get to the town:
{Include coordinates and then describe the specific ports and how to get to those ports to end up at your town, or describe a route on foot. Make sure it is correct; folks need to be able to find it on their own.}
Unique Features in the Town:
{Name and describe what features your town has that are interesting for RP. e.g. Library/market/tavern. Make sure you mention the things that make your town unique}
Description of the Town:
{Describe what your town is like atmospherically. Is it a desert town located near a beautiful natural river? Is it a grand hommage to human architecture? Give your town a unique description to draw the tourists in! This is the place you can also mention who rules it, what kind of mayorship it is, what races live there, etc.}
Will create the booth of the book myself:

Barrel Rolling is now available! The next step is setting up a port so you can get to the region easier, while I add more areas

We've got a DarkShine board!

The dripleaf spleef arena has been built too now! Bored? Enjoy some spleef with your mates!

Each game will have a lectern in front of it with the rules of the game explained

We've also got the hedge maze now! With these structures there is finally some stuff in the area to build around. This'll be one of the borders, and the town area will go around the fountain likely on the other side

The stables have been added and a travelport request for Storm's Landing has been made!

A very cozy, 2 story-high tavern has arrived in the Fairgrounds. Folks can enjoy some food and drinks while watching games being played on the horizon
