I'm going to say that with the catch up - Those who were waiting on emotes for rankups can either simply accept their god has blessed them or they can PM me or make a ticket for an emote of ranking up (I cant recall everyone who's pending). Sorry for confusion.

The Grey Lady: Tier 4Raelur [X]
Show extended worship, with three months OOC since achieving T3:Blessed status achieved on [12/21/21] therefore minimal requirement is reached on [3/21/22]
Must have a significant presence in the world as an embodiment of the virtues of their divine.
Must make a constant effort to guide and foster their faith through either significant personal acts or active participation in events:
[Caretaker of the Temple of Rest]
Newly appointed as the Caretaker of the Temple of Rest in Queensport, he strives to represent the faith of the Grey Lady within the Kalstaat while defending its people from the threats of the undead as a Vyre uprising stirs in the north.
[Realmsguard Member] [Taken Oath]
As a member of the Realmsguard, his reputation has expanded throughout the land as the organization has acted to defend places and people abroad, fighting enemies of both Valiant and the Grey Lady whilst ensuring the safety of those that deserve it across the political landscape. He makes sure that the men and women he serves with are educated on the undead and supernatural, as he's come to find that they experience such entities frequently.
[Exorcist]
Over time, he has accrued experience observing and handling spirits on his holy journey, being able to put a few at rest whether it be summoning them or encountering them by chance. His duties have also involved recording the activity of both Vyres as well as Demons that wish to influence people for later reference, whether it is to ensure they’re cured or hunted down eventually when judgement comes. With the achievement of his first exorcism of a Demon-possessed, his merit of such a role will only increase.
Must hold at least one sermon in which they explain their own unique views and understanding of their Divine:[Sword and Scale] [Link]
Taught a lecture in Blackrush Crossing which included members of the Realmsguard attending. He had spoken on certain types of Undead regarding their origins religiously and how to combat them, such as Zombies and Ghouls. Later on, he delved into the topic of the supernatural with a brief recollection of Archon and the events leading up to the planar tear to display a primary cause to their presence, offering a warning for things from others realms crossing over. Finally, he discussed Spirits and the types discovered, with solutions to put them as ease and send them into the afterlife rather than destroying them outright. Afterwards, he passed along copies of a book on Spirits for people to keep and refer to later on in the field.

[Infernal Insight] [Link]
In the Cathedral of Eldpoint, Raelur held a meeting to inform the public of the ongoing crisis involving the spread of corruption and demonic possessions, alongside the cult which is instigating it. With his past experience and insight on the matter, he explained how the Demons behave and how they interact with people, later explaining the solution of exorcisms and how to perform them in his opinion. He was able to answer questions from a few as well, providing his own input and collaborating with others to seek out improved methods and ideas.
An event held to sanctify an area/region in the name of their Divine, or the creation of a larger secondary shrine/church:[Keg's Hearth Crypt]
Has established a shrine within his established crypt in Keg's Hearth. He intends to expand upon it over time as fresh dead are collected and properly buried to ensure a safe, eternal rest.
Must be part of or create an organization dedicated to their Divine:[Ministry of the Grey Lady]
Over some time, he has begun to repair relations with the Exalt of the Grey Lady to become reacquainted with the Ministry of the Grey Lady.
Must show further evidence of having a unique view and understanding of their Divine and their faith.
To truly show how they differ, and what faith means to them personally:
[Experience With Faith]
After learning of the past events of Archon, alongside his experience with threats that originate beyond the mortal world, he's come to believe that the Grey Lady should represent not just the passing of souls into the afterlife, but also the sanctity of how similar entities may travel between the planes and the security that should be provided to ensure harmful things are kept out while repairing the damage of the veil between said planes. His travels to the Nether has also cemented his belief that there are worlds beyond our own that shouldn’t be tampered with lightly. Whether it be entities of the Nether, or the various figments that come and go, having them or others manipulate the veil is a matter that faces judgement.

With this in mind, he's grown a distrust with Animancers, which he believes are either irresponsible or unworthy in the handling of spirits and souls, considering their practices have been known to cause harm despite the best intentions of a few. It also brings him concern with Magic and their ascendance which has stirred the Pantheon into action and deliberation on what to do. He travels to inspect when he can on the dubious works of magic-users, keeping a close eye on places such as Candlewood, participating in their activities to remain close and earn their trust should he discover something damning.

Recently, he has gotten into the dilemma of demons and their ability to posses people, which he believes is the result of a rising influence stemming from the Nether. He hopes to establish more research on those affected so that he may succeed in an exorcism of one of these possessed, so that this can lead the way for followers after him to lead by his example.

To him, his journey of faith is the representation of order uncompromised by emotions and personal feelings. He's come to accept that as he ascends with the Grey Lady's favor, he must carry out her will despite his own personal reservations, a price to be paid to receive the powers of a blessed. There may come a time when former friends become enemies, when the Goddess will be his closest ally left, for he has given up both home and comfort to reach his current heights.

His experience learning and witnessing the works of Valiant have also left an impact on him since his introduction with the Realmsguard. It has become a realization that the mortal capacity of violence cannot be contained, it is a force of nature that has always been there, as reflected in the Grey Lady’s representation of Necessity, for death cares not for who it reaps. While chivalry and honor are seldom found in war, he tries to uphold the War-God’s gentler tenets as best he can, as acting on one’s emotions hardly ends well.
Must have at least ten instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant in the name of their faith separate to the event(s) above:[Finale III: Sieging the City] [Link]
Fighting alongside the Realmsguard to liberate Eldpoint, he infiltrated the city walls and fought his way through mercenaries and guards. As the fighting had nearly concluded, a citizen was slain unjustly by another, and so he kneeled before the poor soul and offered a small prayer unto them, before carrying their body towards the hospital.
[Finale IV: Treating the Injured] [Link]
After the siege of Eldpoint, he arrived to the city's hospital to rest and recover from his sustained injuries. After which, he made his way downstairs where a temporary morgue was set up, where bodies were lining the hallways by the dozens. For that night, he held his holy amulet aloft, kneeling before every corpse to say a prayer to ease the souls into the afterlife, hoping they depart with little grudge or reason to linger among the living.
[Helm] [Link]
During a Valiant ceremony, Bennett sought to purify the Helm of Kilrox by striking it down. In the process, he purified the artifact from its entity, however he continued to strike the armor down out of frustration, calling out the War-God. Eventually, both Byrne and Raelur sought to intervene, seeking to convince him of the necessity of violence and its innate nature that lies in mortal men before divine punishment could be cast down a second time.
[A Final Flight] [Link]
Held a funeral for the lost crew of the Airship Godcrest, and casted [Beckon I] to speak with Ivy, the ship's captain to pay respect and preserve their memory.
[Nid Arach: Exploring New Land III] [Link]
An exploration through Nid Arach led to the discovery of a group of Candlewood Scholars who were assaulted during the night by the region's creatures. They pled for help as the bodies of their compatriots were scattered across the area. With assistance from the group, all five bodies were located and returned to camp to bury in graves, offering a prayer to ease the lost souls and guide them to limbo.
[Nid Arach: Twelve Angry Men] [Link]
Some time prior, he and members of the Realmsguard had been searching across Nid Arach for any signs of slaver activity to defy the activities of The Necromancer. They were able to speak with the city's denizens as they looked for clues, eventually figuring out that the forested outskirts were being harvested for lumber. Upon their approach, they encountered a group of armed slavers forcing slaves to work, with one of these armored men being an undead. A fight broke out, and in the end he and his compatriots killed off these would-be oppressors, with one of the Realmsguard beheading the undead slaver and another taking a living one as captive to face their crimes. The undead corpse was burned appropriately, while the other bodies were taken back to camp for a proper burial. Expecting a response from the Arachian Lord, The Necromancer, they setup defenses around their camp over the coming days. During a routine post in the night, their camp was suddenly attacked, damaging the walls with fire and ballistae bolts. The defenders scrambled as he focused on dousing the flames to prevent them from raging. Amid the chaos, he opted to stay behind, weary of the attacker's capabilities while the rest followed suit, never to see them alive again. Alone among the dead, he performed [Gravewalk] to retreat as he sensed the death of one of his compatriots through [Mark of Passing].
[What flies above] [Link]
Conducted his first [Divination] with an attendee, giving feathers containing Archon's essence as an offering, having recovered some from the reclamation of Life. He Summoned an Emissary of the Grey Lady in the form of a floating Skull, listening intently as it answered his question about the source of Blooded Silver found throughout the realm. He learned that they originated from the Goddess of the Hunt, Theodra.
[In Search of Answers] [Link]
The investigation into the kidnapping and murder of a citizen of Mockingbay had led them to follow a trail of clues towards an island directly east of the city. Upon landing ashore with a group, their travels uncovered a hidden passageway that when unlocked, led to a vast dungeon beneath the ground. Through a selection of rooms and halls, were both puzzles and traps that needed to be traversed with some difficulty, uncovering along the way items dedicated to Jishrim, such as knives and holy symbols. Nearing their final destination, they came across caged Ash Hounds that were unlocked by one of the party members, revealed to be a conspirator as they attacked the group. Through skill and determination, Raelur and the rest slew the hounds and the would-be assassin, making their way to the final puzzle, a room that slowly flooded with their only exit lined with skulls and familiar symbols. Recalling his previous study of the clues, he unlocked the final puzzle to reveal their exit, making their way to the surface. Amid their relief, a stranger with a crossbow had left a final riddle for them, making their escape. With some effort, both he and another managed to reach and tackle the stranger to the ground to send back to the Mockingbay dungeon, solving the issues that plagued the Queen, for now.
[Blood in the Snow] [Link]
Hearing the call for aid in Queensport, he travels to the cold north to support the city. He and and handful of others are chosen to join a convoy of the Kaalstat military as they travel with the intent to battle a hostile band of Vyres whom settled down with plans to claim the land and insight terror. On their trip, they encounter a snowstorm which forces them to setup a campsite, only to be met with a massive horde of undead and Vyres attacking during the night. With his blessed powers, he's able to keep the undead at bay for a time, only to be eventually surrounded leading to a great fight for survival. Through a fierce battle, only a handful of men managed to survive the ordeal.
[Bannerlord Arc Act I - An Act Of Justice] [Link]
While accompanying the Realmsguard to patrol the southern roads of Blackrush, the group had stumbled upon the scene of a murder that took place. Two suspects were apprehended by local authorities for questioning, whom asked for assistance from himself and his compatriots in order to solve the case. Through a combined effort, they were able to examine the victim’s body and question the suspects for any motive, eventually coming to the conclusion that both were guilty of murder, casting fair judgement on the verdict.
[Distress] [Link]
As Bol’tn’thar is troubled by sightings of a ghost in the area harassing travellers, the Realmsguard are called in to investigate, wading through the swampy region to encounter a weeping spirit. With his prior knowledge, he deduced this wasn’t an overly harmful spirit, rather, one which was tied to the area by some personal matter. Eventually, they discovered the remains of a hut, filled with bodies and signs of a dark ritual, one of the remains belonging to the spirit in life as they were unfortunately sacrificed for some unknown end. Casting [Repose] on the woman’s corpse, he granted her spirit peace, allowing her to finally cross over into the afterlife. However, there was more to follow, as they found a trail leading from the hut, the very ground warped by growing crimsonwart, ending with the sighting of a large Hoglin. With teamwork, their blades slew the beast, ending its influence on land. Afterwards, the mortal remains were taken back to Bol’tn’thar for burial.

[Uninvited Pests] [Link]
Taking a bounty assignment posted by the Eldpoint Chivalry Office, both he and the Realmsguard ascended into the city's crypt to investigate an apparent spider infestation, encountering drifting spirits along the way, acting as though they were fixed in moments of their past lives, unable to move on. Through narrow tunnels and passages, they eventually uncovered the source of the troubles through a webbed-up door, opening up into a sanctum displaying an angelic statue surrounded by tombs of old. As they lit up the area, they found a whole swarm of spiders threatening to surround them, with a Broodmother watching from above. With the strength of their steel and faith, they slew the vermin one by one, eventually coming face to face with the Broodmother, which too fell by their hands. He hopes that cleaning up the mess had brought the spirits some peace, allowing them to cross over into the afterlife once more.
[Bannerlord Arc Act II - An Act Of Sacrifice] [Link]
Hearing rumors of nefarious activity at the site of a ruined cathedral dedicated to Ignis, the Realmsguard travelled to inspect the location. There, they encountered a strange individual atop a gallows who referred to themselves as The Judge, challenging the members to question their oath, faith and morality as they were forced to cast judgement upon two hostages charged with murder. After some deliberation, they learned that one hostage was a follower of Valiant who murdered to defend a town from bandits, whilst another was a Jishrimite who murdered in the name of their faith. It was eventually decided that by the law of the land, both were innocent, despite personal reservations. The Judge still wanted them to be executed by hanging, and ordered his allies to burn a rope below the gallows, pressing the Realmsguard for time. Through a demanded ultimatum, two would be needed to take the place of the hostages. As two members stepped forth, Raelur chose to take the place for one of the hostages, acknowledging a blood-debt with his brethren, an act of redemption for their fall at Nid Arach. As the noose was tied upon his neck, he accepted the coming of death, yet it did not come, merely another planned trick by The Judge. He had left the scene, but not before explaining other hostages were caged beneath precarious roped debris threatening to fall atop them, held by lackies. Through some creative persuasion, they stepped before each of the men holding the rope and fate of many, showing them the error of their ways and allowing them to tie the rope and let the hostages go free. As the danger was averted, they discovered that the groups of hostages were related to each other, either being bandits which attacked the village mentioned earlier, the villagers themselves or the group of Jishrimites also mentioned. They were sent off or dealt with accordingly, preventing any fatalities from the whole ordeal and casting judgement.
[Bannerlord Arc Act III - An Act Of Assistance] [Link]
Patrolling once more on the roads of Blackrush with his compatriots, they had stumbled upon a broken down wagon set aside with people nearby, as if seeking help to their dilemma. As they approached, they were met with arrows shooting out from the bushes, along with the drawn blades of the carriage folk. It had turned out that both mercenaries seeking their assassination and mere bandits preying on the gullible sought their end, fighting the Realmsguard and each other during the struggle. With some quick thinking, they maneuvered through the terrain and either cut down or arrested those who surrendered, treating the remaining injured afterwards. The bodies of the dead were tended to, casted upon with [Repose] and prepared for burial back to Blackrush upon a pyre.

[What Lies in the Darkness] [Link]
Following the rumors of dragons arising within the territories of the Sorrows, both he and the Realmsguard traveled to investigate. They eventually stumbled upon a campsite, from where its inhabitants pled to them for help, speaking of an unknown force harassing them. Suddenly, a storm had intensified above them as lightning threatened to strike them on more than one occasion. From the outlying forest came the source of the troubles, a group of Wyrms. It was discovered that those at the camp had attacked them and drew their ire, forcing them to flee the scene leaving the Realmsguard to battle them. With some effort, he defended another of his comrades from a potentially lethal end by fighting one of the Wyrms head-on. After some further fighting and a couple shocks later, everyone was able to leave the encounter alive, with the remains of the strange creatures in tow.
[Bannerlord Arc Act IV - An Act Of Liberation] [Link]
Both he and the Realmsguard were called upon once more to Nid Arach when one of the member's family was taken hostage within the accursed city. Seeking to redeem himself once more, he braved the strange terrain with the group, eventually coming to discover the hostage's location in a cave. They proceeded inside, encountering an ambush of crossbowmen seeking their end. By skill and number, they were able to cut a few of them down, arresting the rest of them as they surrendered or attempted to flee. Raelur collected the remains of the dead together to properly burn, preventing them to arise through necromancy.
[Bannerlord Arc Act V - An Act Of Courage] [Link]
Tracking down the movements of the one called The Judge across the land, the Realmsguard managed to encounter them once more in the Ashlands, specifically the fort which surrounds the infamous rift to the Nether. Seeing them retreat through the portal, Raelur and a few others were forced to trail after them, travelling within accursed realm to discover a defensive complex of some kind, guarded by many Fiends. Through their efforts, they managed to sneak inside, evading most of them while cutting down a few which managed to discover them. At the end of their journey, they found a small library of some kind, surrounded by a pit hanging over a great lake of lava. At the center of the pit, was a peculiar scroll suspended by chains. With some quick thinking, one among them took the risk of climbing to the center to recover the scroll, discovering it contained Infernal writing alongside a different language. With the information acquired on the terrain, the Realmsguard depart to prepare their attack in full force.

An offering of something of great personal value to the character themselves given to their Divine.
Include evidence of why this offering is of importance and significance:
[Frozen Flower]
He would offer a Frozen Flower, a divine trinket recovered during his travels amid the campaign for returning Life to Shalherana. He has kept it up to this point to remind himself of his bond with the Grey Lady, as he strives to embrace the Domain of Winter, smiting his enemies with divine cold.

An Oath of personal and religious significance must be sworn in the name of their God.
[Oath of Exile]

Amund Khrarstein - Valiant Tier One
(version 2.0 - additions in italics)
Show worship of a Divine for at least one month OOC from the creation of a divine
profile/thread.
Amund has worshipped Valiant (and Kilrox) for a great deal of time but took a break in his worship for a time to pursue a potential blessing in Theodra. Realizing the folly in this false faith, he has since returned to Valiant. (It has been exactly one month today since he began worshipping Valiant again OOCly)
The character must be at least two months old OOC.The character is several years old OOC, having initially been made back in 2017-2018.
The character must be at least sixteen years of age.Amund is thirty-two years old. (i think, he might be older)
Describe the most prominent relevant deed they've done since their last rank up. This can be a hosted event, a significant achievement, or similar spectacle, but it should tend towards acts that demonstrate their faith to others.Directly following the reigniting of his faith in Valiant, Amund took place in a battle against the Realmsguard. His actions in this battle showed prowess in combat. Multiple blessed of Valiant struck at Amund's back while he was committed to combat with the Earthspawn, Izhmoz. He held his own against a physical more imposing opponent, his knee being dislocated in the process. Towards the end of the battle, he personally killed one member of the Realmsguard after they killed one of his comrades. A skull is taken as a trophy on this day.
Three notable acts in line with their Divine (Hunting, Healing, Bartering, etc) separate to the event(s) above.1. Accompanied a hunt for Drakodos in the Ashlands, despite the fact that one wrong step would result in his immediate death should he be caught on fire. Proceeded to personally slay one of the Drakodos with assistance from two allies present. Took its skull as a trophy, allowing others to take the more useful parts of the animal.
2. His career as a smith has begun to bear fruit in terms of actual skill, and he now dedicates his crafts to Valiant. The first of which was a helmet for personal use- A hounskull/pig-faced bascinet helmet, a lightning bolt enveloped in chains adorning either side of the helmet.
3. Following being told that a comrade of his had their weapon stolen from them in Nid Arach, Amund confronted a group of Arachians. He brought them to heel without violence, having the entire group surrender except for one Arachian, who refused to return the weapon. After giving an ultimatum to surrender or die, this Arachian was the only one that was killed-Amund cleaved their head off with a single swing of his axe. His skull is taken as a trophy.
4. Amund chases after Frost Menguar after they near fatally injure Melarue Lydril. This prevented Frost from killing Melarue in cold blood in broad daylight while giving Melarue time to be treated by others present in the Tavern.
5. After being confronted by a Spirit of the Exalted of The Grey Lady, Branko Callas appeared to begin an attempt to murder two bystanders- Candice Kane and Jacob. While he was sure the two likely could've handled themselves, Amund did not wish to take this chance. Despite their previous history, Amund unsheathed his weapons and made ready to fight Branko in defence of the two. It is here that Amund, at least in his mind, must cut most ties with Callas, finding the attempted deaths of non-combatants an unacceptable action.
One offering of an item to their Divine at a shrine/church/etc (Log its OOC location for collection.) After being gifted a new axe made of Glimmersteel, Amund sacrificed his old Dane Axe. This occurred at sea during a storm while he travelled from Storm's Landing to Halbed on a trip into the Tundra. (I have the prop, will send it wherever is required)

I shouldn’t even quote this because it’s a one-word response but I wanted to give the extra alert.

You guys have reinforced before that being infected is grounds to lose a blessing, now a blessing to a full vyre is another extra step—especially one keeping the company of criminals and any other tenet-infringing stuff in the Valiant rulebook. This pairs with the erratic behaviour of the divine itself to turn a blind eye whenever Uriel goes off but punish or warn everyone else for coming close to that line. I don’t want to hear the “oh we didn’t think about it” excuse; you thought about it. Liam is on divine staff and has talked with people about it.

You keep emphasizing the Kilrox part of Valiant because divine team feeds it, not because players do, and it has driven a lot of people away—it’s driving more away for similar reasons; this is especially heinous after another character was implicitly punished for it this time last year and at best a result of inconsiderate coordination.

I know this isn’t an app for level-up and therefore “spam”, I don’t care. If this message gets disregarded or not answered it’s further evidence that divine team does not care about the players beyond their friend group. It’s not subtle, and it’s not encouraging people to keep up.

It was an oversight; I was under the impression that the condition on the vyre page only mentioned Tier 3. I'll consider what to do with it from here, but it's not that deep my dude.

I don’t even know how divine team works, why is it your personal oversight on the rank-ups and not discussed with the team? And furthermore, what is there to “do with it”? If you change the rule now it’s going to further reflect what I was saying before—there is effort put into some players and not others.

Probably because Lannis has been made aware recently that life has picked up for most members of the team.
Elz has taken a step back as per her announcement in Divine Convention.
Catanomical is active when able but has work.
Liam is currently on a break due to college and personal life needing attention.
My work hours are constantly shifting right now and I’m trying to work them into a solid schedule all whilst having unreliable internet.
GhostKairo has not been particularly active in the Divine chat since saying he’d be taking a break a good few months ago.
This leaves Lannis’ personal oversight on these things while we are away. Any position on HW is voluntary and it’s within anyone’s rights to take breaks from their hobby at any point without needing to explain themselves. Lannis is doing what he can while we aren’t able to be around as much.

Edit: Most of us knew about Amund wanting to get blessed and had agreed that it would probably happen if circumstances were met. (Liam not being part of most of these discussions out of his own choice and myself opting to defer to others’ judgement on it due to possibilities of these kinds of bias allegations) But communications obviously suffer when the team is on its break. This was an oversight on many systems coexisting and clashing in ways that will happen due to human error. I think one of the solutions coming is to be a clear cut cheatsheet thread that details how all conditions interact with one another that can be checked during these rank ups and other similar events.

Two systems. There are two of them with restrictions on each other. You're listing excuses as to why people can't weigh in--get other people to, it's a volunteer job yes, but this list of reasons other people can't help isn't proving the point you think it is--it's proving the team is in need of updates if it cannot operate due to business. Furthermore, if your private discussions said "it would probably happen if circumstances were met" how about you make a public post about that in this thread where it is an obvious point of contention. There are so many other apps declined for significantly pettier, more technical reasons and this is a comparatively glaring one. When I say "some people get favour over others" this is very much what I'm talking about.

Further-furthermore, if Brit is saying it was discussed with laid out terms but Lannis is saying it was a personal user error, which is it? Was Lannis not a part of the discussion? If it’s a lapse in communication between the current lead and everyone else then I have more questions as to how things are being run.

Anything I do you're going to take as evidence that you're somehow persecuted, but I'm getting tired of your growing list of accusations so I'm gonna address a few things.

Big picture, my goal for the divine is to be abstract enough that people can apply their own interpretations and beliefs onto. There are still rules, there are still tenets, and the standards increase with tier, but it's way cooler if the divine system is loose enough to help people develop their characters how they want to instead of being a pipeline to producing the exact same characters at T4. I do not expect every Valiant blessed to adhere to your idea of what a Valiant worshiper should be, I expect them to play their own character with a reasonable interpretation of that faith within reasonable bounds of the tenets and values established by the divine, because that's just more fun all around. They're held to some scrutiny, but I don't want to look at it under a microscope, and I'm generally more inclined to leave characters to their own devices as long as they can justify what they're doing in the context of their faith instead of playing god police. I don't know if this approach has always been the case but it's the way it is now, and even before I took charge I think the biggest punishment any blessed has ever faced for being out of line with a god was Uriel getting demoted. The second nearest thing I can think of was some of the other Valiant blessed getting warned for vigilante justice from around the same time frame, which we eased up on because people kept doing it and we took that to mean that's how they wanted to play Valiant blessed.

On Amund specifically, he was initially denied about a month ago because he was hanging out with Skraagites and getting up to bad shit. This reasoning did not spontaneously change, we talked about it when he was denied, and he's reapplied because Amund has stopped doing these things. He's still under scrutiny, I'll be watching fairly closely because his history+vyrism sounds like a tricky prospect to stay in line with the Valiant tenets, but ultimately I want people to play what they enjoy and if that's the arc he wants to go for I don't think it's unreasonable. 'Vyre nobly trying to overcome his curse in the name of Valiant' sounds like a cool arc that isn't untenable with the more subjective Valiant ideals, so I'm more inclined to change the vyre rules from a year and direction shift ago than I am to deny it outright. This is not a privilege exclusive to my friends; if anyone has something unconventional that they want to try you can talk to us about it, and as long as you're chill I'll probably spring for it, or at least explain why not.

On emphasizing Kilrox: I'm not really sure where you're getting this, but I think 'Valiant is the primary god of war and doesn't strictly adhere to your personal opinion of what he should be' covers a lot of the response. I try to play him as aspiring to nobler ideals but recognizing that war is ugly and being willing to fight when it's necessary, which is about what he says and does whenever he's around. There are characters that are more interested in the Kilrox part, which is still a valid aspect of said war god, but there hasn't been any change in the tenets, lore page, or spells, and I'm pretty sure the depictions of Valiant that show up are still pretty consistent with the aforementioned nobler goals.

You guys have reinforced before that being infected is grounds to lose a blessing

Who are you talking about with these?

it’s further evidence that divine team does not care about the players beyond their friend group. It’s not subtle, and it’s not encouraging people to keep up.
My dude, I really don't want to lean on the 'I volunteer a large amount of my time and effort to the server and making it fun for people' card, but I'd like to think it buys a bit of middle ground before 'only cares about his friend group and no one else.' I would not be here if I did not care, I would find a more pleasant use of my time. I'm doing my best, which isn't always great, but I'm still here and trying. I'm not giving anyone in the divine team anything more than I reasonably would in the same circumstance; most of what they get is a great deal of scrutiny whenever something is ruled in their favor. You're just taking any instance of something positive happening to them as evidence that it never happens for anyone else, and I'm pretty sure I can give a reasonable explanation for any of the instances of others getting the shaft that you've alluded to, despite that most of them seem to have happened well over a year ago.

That's not my intention, and I'm not making this case on my behalf; this is for the others on the server feeling frustrated with the landscape. I respect your responding despite this, but I want it known my line of questioning is for the sake of the server environment--I'm in a comfortable background position and don't need spotlight (even if I have a nasty habit of taking it, I am trying to reduce things like the Valiant arguments).

I agree with this stuff, and I think it makes sense to leave some flex--but there remain hard rules that people are held to and that feels inconsistent. If those are subject to future flex it's not as much a problem, but I've seen applications like Galaxy's Candice get declined from Theodra for not having a shrine (that's the first immediate example I can think of, not one I was told about by Galaxy)--I think that the outlines for requisites are good but holding everything to its strict adherence and then this is what has inclined the belief that some player characters are held to a higher priority over others.

This is great news, but I have heard concerns about divine team replies and discourse (and I know it's a team of people with other things to do, I don't expect a full conversation to happen with everyone at all times) where timing is difficult and hard to coordinate with tickets. I don't know what the solution to that is, but I think making open that there is a forum for discussion on it is a good thing--maybe it's public knowledge but I was unaware. This feeds into an earlier thing I mentioned but I'm writing these as I go down the message.

We've had this conversation before but because there hasn't been a change in the page and other stuff, Valiant is also the "Justice" God. I am aware that it's complicated and there are good and bad parts of fighting, etc.--the philosophy of that isn't as important as the fact that other parts of it seem to be contradicted at times when they were important at others.

Who are you talking about with these?
This one specifically was Rolland, a character that gets brought up whenever there's a divine argument about Kilrox--the view was that the worship of that specific aspect was horrible and punishable, as well as attacking others blessed by the same divine (his killing of Eimar)--which have both not been applicable to Uriel, hence my mention. I am aware there have been shifts in leads and stuff since then, but the inconsistency remains and there hasn't been reasoning given why group A is applicable while group B is not.

My "being shafted" is not something I am concerned about, or try not to be--when I speak on behalf of a group it's done for the group, my personal benefit coming out of throwing paragraphs around like this will never feel good, but other people being treated right does. I can infer that there is more effort than my extreme "it's only for the TOP PERCENTERS" but there feels like a significant discrepancy between who gets lifted up and who doesn't.

And to be clear regarding this; this comes from a member of the Realmsguard, the Apostles of the Sea, the Rangers, someone that Icefire keeps trying to rope into Candlewood (no I will not answer your texts icefire) and acquainted with other groups/dynamics. I hope this doesn't come off as petulant demands that I be made Exalt due to OOC lawyering and a bunch of other gripes, it's because I end up as a funnel for concerns and complaints.

To make this part clear, I sat down yesterday and went through the backlog by myself because it has been piling up for a good while.
That does clear things up--if communication really is a difficult hurdle to overcome it may help to have a medium divine staff can leave their "pros and cons" thoughts on each app--but I am more than sure you can come up with something better than I can, that was just a thought I had while writing this.

I am aware my tone always reads like condescending yell-whining whenever this sort of thread happens, but it's because apparently essays are ingrained in my brain at a molecular level. I am unhappy about things but I am not mad--you can be upset with me for it all, that's fair. Pretty sure none of us wanted for this to be something we dedicate a part of our day to, but the bottom-line of this is that if the flex is being given here (over an old rule, etc.) I believe other groups would appreciate if that was applicable to other mediums.

Valiant Tier Two
Character Name: Mylohk Danik
IGN: PurpleKnoife
Divine Profile:
[x]
Character Profile: [x]

In order to first become tier two, the following requirements should be met;

Show extended worship, with one month OOC since achieving Blessed status.
January 8th, 2022
Describe the two most prominent relevant deeds they've done since their last rank up.
1.
Sieged Eldpoint with the rest of the Realmsguard. During the initial attack, Mylohk dedicated himself to protecting a couple of the unarmoured attackers; Aesi Ro’van and Ralia. After pushing into the city, he remained focused on providing an unbreaking shield to those who needed it; Ralia after receiving an arrow, moving to shield her from further fire; Aesi, believing them to be unarmoured before being learning of their mirrorwood attire, moving to cover them as they retrieved their dagger and tended to a civilian; Aesi again after a crossbolt was sent their way; Storm Arcturus, shielding the man as he recovered from a wound to the chest; Raelur Fen’Shal, after he had been injured in a prior engagement, he kept close to the man, still holding his faltering shield to offer what protection he could as they advanced on the routing forces. Additionally, Mylohk called out numerous times to the citizens of Eldpoint, utilizing his Valiant Cult Passive to assist him and his comrades in clearing the citizens from the streets, seeing that as few innocents as possible were harmed. When the matter of Erwin Elindriol's heinous war crime was being discussed, Mylohk asked, along with Byrne, that he be given over to Eldpoint to face their justice for the murder of one of her people, as the Realmsguard was not yet equipped to deal with a judgement of this ilk. Erwin regrettably died from his wounds before facing such justice, a fact that incenses Mylohk. [War, Defense, Courage]

2.
During a journey to Nid Arach, Mylohk assisted the Realmsguard in searching for slaves; whom they intended to liberate from their bondage. Mylohk suggested going to the Ignite camp for information, where he instructed his fellows to follow his lead when interacting with the paranoid soldiers. He was able to prove himself to the soldiers, learning that some slaves had been seen near the Pits of Magic. After following leads with the rest of the Realmsguard, they discovered a large group of slaves, set to work by slavers of the Necromancer. The group charged upon the slavers; killing three of the four; Mylohk, with the help of Aesi Ro'van, was able to beat one in hand to hand combat, taking them alive to be tried in Storms Landing for their crimes. [Justice, Conflict, Honor]

The character should keep something on them that represents their Divine personally. (Items, Clothing, etc)

Mylohk usually always wears a dark blue Mirrorwood undershirt. Additionally, he keeps a silver coin on him emblazoned with a single lightning bolt; if not given by Valiant himself, surely one of his angels.

Must create a small shrine to their Divine, and grant it an offering. (Must be an item, check notes at the top of the page.)

Mylohk’s Personal Shrine, located within his bedroom in Blackrush. He asks Raelur to make him an Earkstone Idol, carved in the image of the Inheritor’s Sword and Shield. He offers the tattered remains of the shield he used to defend the fellow liberators of Eldpoint.

Must have at least five instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant seen favourably by their Divine separate to the event(s) above.
1.
Helped to mediate a terse initial interaction with a group of Ignites within Nid Arach; using a recovered and repaired Ignite banner recovered by Byrne Valhart in a previous trip, Mylohk and the group of Realmsguard made contact with the Ignite camp. Was able to talk down the untrusting and cautious soldiers, convincing them that their intentions were pure, and not guided by trickery. The soldier accepted the banner, and agreed to spread word to their superior that the Realmsguard had offered their partnership in helping to cleanse the accursed land. [Do not abandon diplomacy out of lust for war]
2.
During an expedition to both explore Nid Arach and show Kepesk Arc, a potential member of the Realmsguard “the ropes”, the group found themselves in the lair of a cave wendigo. The diminutive creature was drawn to the group's light sources, making combating it and attempting rescue of two of his companions who had fallen into a pit trap difficult. As the creature lunged for Kepesk, Mylohk attempted to strike it in the back, only for his club-like sword to connect with Kepesk instead, due to the poor visibility and closeness of both Kepesk and the Wendigo. Mylohk immediately shifted to shielding his fellow delver, the blow he had inflicted leaving him concussed, planting himself firmly between the elf and the creature. Not wanting to risk further harm to him, Mylohk dragged the man from the cave, confident his allies would make short work of the beast. This unfortunate mistake solidified one thing for Mylohk; raising his weapon, even in the defense of another, meant someone was going to end up injured, or even risked the one at the end of it dying; an eventuality that came to pass during the rescue of Mrs D’Amryun, when Mylohk swung his warpick down onto one of the kidnappers, who was about to attack Andrew. With a mighty blow from the hammer end, he broke the man's spine. A horrifying death to be sure, but one that Mylohk accepted as reality, one that would come to pass many more times in his duty to the Realm and his worship of Valiant. [War, Tremble not upon the field of battle, but always remember the better part of valor, Defend those that cannot defend themselves.] As a way of apology for concussing Kepesk, Mylohk forged him a refined irzis-fyr arming sword, with an eizholz hilt wrapped in leather.
3. Swore his Oath to the Realm, officially swearing himself to the Realmsguard, after a grueling and arduous climb to the top of a tall mountain that overlooks Blackrush. The Realmsguard are part Valiant Cult, part Order dedicated to the Protection of the Realm, along with its inhabitants. Mylohk was one of the Founding Members, as mentioned back in his T1 Application. [Honor, Storms, Hold true to thy given word]

4. Mylohk's daily training has not wavered; instead, since moving to Blackrush, where there is a "gym" set up in the Realmsguard building, Mylohk's stamina and strength has only continued to grow. Additionally, he has benefited from the proper meals and wellness check ups of Anisar Valhart immensely, who has tended to both his burns, which he has had since childhood, and leech bites after a trip to Nid Arach. Besides the combats he has been involved in, decked head to toe in plate armour, the fruits of his labours were most apparent at the Astrakhan Eldpoint liberation festival, where Mylohk participated in both the Tug of War, and Hoplon Footrace. With Raelur Fen'shal on his team, Mylohk was able to secure victory over Byrne Valhart and Silf in a test of their strength during the Tug of War. Mylohk additionally came in second place for the Hoplon Footrace, which involved carrying a heavy bronze shield in a sprint to the finish, losing only to Byrne. [Fester not thy body to disrepair]
5.
Distress; Mylohk accompanies the group of Realmsguard and Kam into the swamps, following reports of screams, mostly keeping watch and acting as muscle. The group eventually comes across a bloody cult murder and ritual site, before they encounter a stray Hoglin, which they engage. Mylohk moves in formation with his fellows and Kam, landing a few hits and taking a kick from the beast, using his shield to absorb the blow. After Kam lifts the beast into the air to expose its stomach, Mylohk and his companions descend to finish the beast off in short order. [Conflict]
6.
Uninvited Pests; Killed two spiders, yanked Andrew and Anwar out from beneath the Broodmother which had pinned them, during the final combat. Carried Anwar to the bathhouse, who was suffering from the paralysis of the spider venom. Due to his prior involvement in the Siege of Eldpoint, Mylohk was officially recognised under the Roll of Chivalry, becoming the first Honoured of Eldpoint, alongside Anwar Attia [Defense, Conflict, Defend those that cannot defend themselves]
7.
Trial of Arne/Erwin; Testified against Erwin, providing his testimony of Erwin’s war crime of murder against a civilian. He was subsequently sentenced to death, and banishment if he returned to life. He accompanied Byrne for the execution, alongside Bennett. There, alongside his battle brothers, witnessed the execution of their former comrade and friend. [Justice, Honor]
8.
The Final Act of Shielding; Mylohk accompanies the other Realmsguard into the Nether, to defeat a Greater Fiend before it can enter Altera. He helped haul one of the Scorpion siege weapons they intended on using against the demon, before clearing their holdout spot before the final battle. Stood shoulder to shoulder with his fellow Realmsguard, helping to destroy a large skeletal demon; obliterating its kneecap with a single swing of his warpick. He survived the encounter with only minor singes. He carried an injured Andrew back to the Blackrush. [Conflict, War, Courage, Defense]

Not particularly bothered for an emote, nor an in-game rank up.
EDITS: Adding stuff I forgot to add originally. Posting in the small hours of the morning is a good way to forget things.

Show extended worship, with two months OOC since achieving T2. - 3/8/22

Describe the three most prominent relevant deeds they've done since their last rank up.

1. Founded the Realmguard officially and made it a strong organization rich with RP
The oranization has been the biggest one pledged to Valiant that has ever been, totalling 15 members, they have freed slaves from Nid Arach held by Branko Callas, Sieged eldpoint and saved it from Classist Racist Rebels, become a prominint source of power within Nid Arach and beyond, causing many people around the world to flock to Byrne in his leadership role, without him actual serving as leader but he has been seen in this light, always the one of command and all of the Realmsguard look up to him in a way, sometimes he may be irresponcible or immature, but when it comes down to it, he's there to make the decision and have the Realmsguard come out on top. It was born out of a nessessity of a group of good men and women, with Evil prevailing on the continent there needed to be a force to stand to guard the realms. That is their purpose and duty. He has had members now officialised as well by swearing the oath to Valiant, for them to give their respects.

Upon this day and ground, I stand before my peers and the storm above, to recite the oath honoured by those who came before me. With this allegiance forged, I observe our tenets as unbreakable, for they bind us together eternally. This is our Law With this weapon in hand, I raise it to slay our enemies and defend the people, with the wisdom to know when to use it.This is our honor. With this pact made before the skies, I acknowledge and respect the storms of Valiant and his council, even as I follow my own faith. This is our creed. I hereby pledge myself to the Realm, and rise now, as a Realmsguard

2. Organized the attack of Eldpoint, breaking the chains of the eldpoint people and overtaking it from the racist overlords who wished to persecute the human race and exile them from eldpoint. He had held a meeting before the battle to discuss stradigy with the force of Drakenport and Astrakhan, only one of which he knew was coming. After which he lead the main forces to the gate of eldpoint, charging them head on and used a oppertunity of the gods with a merchants cart in the ways of the gate to march through, preventing the guard from completely pushing it out of the way of the gate in order to enter the city. Byrne did his best to bolster his troops with a spell and war-cry to Valiant along with other Valiant troops, that they were to free the people from their cast system of being walled off in the slums. With the exitement he had... well that was down the well when he saw the true nature of conflict on the field, seeing his first man die from a intensional blow, his first murder. With his men ruthlessly and unforgiving nature brought him to the shakes, this was not right, one must not take pride in pain or bloodlust, he had to in self defense end a mans life, his first act of murder shook him and with the words of Podric helping him realise that every man must make their choices as uneasy as they are. After a time of watching his men take pride in their bloodlust he was left with disgust and disdain for the battle at hand, wanting to look away but then something crucial happened, a man who had abandoned Valiant not a day or two before commited the one thing his father would not, murdering one of the innocents he was supposed to protect, both him and Podric took to restraining the man and refusing him his request of execution, doing justice the right way and putting him in manacles and declaring him a prisoner of eldpoint, for he murdered one of her own citzens, only she is best to give out justice. All of the mercenaries were slain, the city taken back for who once owned it but there were unfortunate causalties, teaching him a brutal lesson that could not have been taught properly by his father with all the effort in the world, it was one of experience that he had to go through, ultimately opening his eyes to the responsibility and weight on his shoulders.

3. Being called into candlewood after Leonhardt had caused a conflict, catching a thief and branding him. Candlewood was not okay with this and Byrne was not either, it was not the path he wished to take and spoke to Leonhardt, taking him aside and making it clear that if he wished to continue his faith and to raise resolve around them, they would need to respect the laws of the land with diplomacy and care, setting a example and doing things right the first time. A mutual understanding was made and through diplomacy and talking their issues out, things seemed to be more positive when he arrived, saving his comrad and later talking to Athryl and making a better impression of himself and his men later on. Overall calming a heated situation that could have stewed conflict with no violence, threats or brandishings of arms, a example of his actions to come for the world.

4. Through their ventures in Nid Arach, they came accross a slave trail which they had been desperately looking for, eventually tracking down a group of slaves that were held by the Necromancer, him and his Realmsguard went and slayed the guards, Byrne getting a kill off on two of the four slavers himself, one of them being undead, which he decapitated and attached the head to his belt. Taking the slaves then after to Blackrush, Valiant's holy ground. After that, he pays the slaves, helps them get settled nearby and get on their feet so they do not return to Branko under any means. Prayers to Rahas and Valiant were given on the road back. "All men are to be free, we will not stand by when slaves can be freed and evil can be vanquished, Valiant, I do this for you, for your approval and to improve the world in your image, I will follow your storm."

5. During a storm, he was sought out in blackrush by Aki Bellamy, a girl with a reputation worse than many. In a time of crisis and lacking of faith whilst all else have dropped her, he stupidly picked up the challange of teaching and mentoring her under Valiant, she wishes to join the realmsguard but he declines her, saying she needs to work on herself and her image before joining. They have a deep talk of introspection and examining their flaws, Byrne realising that she’s a dumbass that needs things drilled into her head with plenty of directness, but someone who is not all arrogant, but needing of patience and discipline. Like his father before him he does his best to set boundaries and goals, telling her to pray before valiant, admit her sins and pray for forgiveness, this is all to help her improve herself and mature. Byrne believes that by doing this for her, this will in turn show Valiant his own discipline and skill, rising above Ashna, Raelur and various others before him, whether this will be a foolish act for his god or not has yet to be seen. He realises how much of a massive undertaking it will be, and wishes to be successful in such for Valiant.

The character must have earnest and genuine faith to their Divine. - Of course

Evidence of a more unique understanding and outlook towards their own faith. - For the most part, Byrne has been raised by Uriel and his beliefs, and does not differ from those too much, believing in individual prayer to the pseudo gods on the court of conflict for more suitable scenarios, in his early life he mostly paid homage to Rahas and Valiant exclusively, but recently, he's realised as much as he doesnt like it, conflict is needed in the world and the other gods amongst Valiant have a place in his heart too, except for Killrox, he will not let himself be touched by such corruption.

Must show evidence in their log of teaching another something thematic to their Divine. (Hunting, Fighting, Dancing, etc)

1. Byrne had a heartfelt speech and deep talk with Anisar about staying Vigilant in her faith when she was thinking she would never get blessed, Byrne adviced her to serve Shalherana without question of her goddess's intension on when she would get blessed, because she knows what is right. Those who serve her true and Vigilantly will be rewarded and be given her gaze.

Must have at least five instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant in the name of their faith separate to the event(s) above.

1. Saved both Freia and Valerie as they were being pulled away by killer vines, using his strength with both Valiant and his own hard work to defend those who needed it most.

2. Began a investigation into the Murder of Queen Citrine, to bring Justice to her Killer. Helping along and finding something about a cult and venturing to find out to their hideout.

3. Saved Maple from murderous vines by pulling her out before they could strangle her, once more saving dancels in distress and being the hero he'd like to be for Valiant.

4. Rowed a couple miles off shore in a rowboat, using his strength amidst the divine war causing the storm to appear overhead, getting Byrne and Raelur safetly to land whilst the storm only got worse.

5. Helped bear the burden of pain of his best friend Mister cluckles(also pet chicken) with shared burden, it was quite the emotional moment after it was attacked by a hawk thinking he was going to die.

They must also pick one of the following paths: PICKED BOTH

[To Guide Another]

Ultimately they must guide another into the rank of T1 and showcase at least ten ways they assisted doing so. This can be through lessons, discussions, or other ways you feel are significant in the journey of the student. They must reach T1 before you can apply for T3.

Mylohk

1. Took on Mylohk as a student after beating him in a duel, teaching him successfully how to counter a leg hooking. After such offering to teach him on the way of Valiant.

2. Byrne taught Mylohk of Rahas and what his old traditions were in full and the values of the old god. A primary value of "All men are equal" was shared greatly.

3. Byrne spoke to Mylohk about how the court of Valiant is structured and his court, how it functions and what encompasses it.

4. Byrne taught Mylohk of Arbalor in detail and the lore behind it over some chicken.

5. Byrne spoke to Mylohk about treating enemies and those to be judged with respect and smiles, to have a clear conceance before justice is to be delivered, using diplomacy before warfare even in conversation. "A smile can get you a lot further along in conversation than a scowl."

6. Byrne took Mylohk out of Blackrush after having revalations and character growth himself from Uriel/Pod. Sharing the values of before making judgement you have to learn the whole situation about things, to talk with everyone in the faith before making a descion on how they are judged. To use wisdom in their handling of Justice and to make sure to grab all sides views before making their decision on justice. Ultimately redeeming Uriel within Mylohk to some extent as they had been judging them harshly without knowing him personally and the reason for things.

7. Byrne taught Mylohk a lesson in humbleness, to view the grander world in terms of conflict and the battles they fight as less consequential than he may think. They are not the main characters nor the most important, that war is only able to be had because of the nameless amounts of farmers plowing fields so soldiers have bread to eat and must be paid attention to and their needs met.

8. Byrne had a heart to heart about ‘first’ kills with Mylohk. Repeating the lesson he was taught by Podric, that Rahas’s dream will never be accomplished and eutopia will never be met, that as warriors and saviors they will never be perfect, that they need to learn from their fuck ups and improve , realising they did screw up.

Aki.

  1. They spoke of introspection and why that is important of a hero, so that they realise their flaws and work on themselves so they can improve and serve the realm and their god better. Byrne sat with her and made her say outloud all of her flaws, talking about how they effect her actions, which in prompt effect the safety and health of others. He spends excessive effort in being patient with her.
  2. They spoke of Valiants court, and in paticular the history of Rahas, her childishly taking interest in the god as many would before her. Byrne directs her to repent in front of the blackrush shrine to him and Valiant, to question herself throughout the night of the storm and to get her crap together.

[To Great Lengths]

They must showcase ten additional instances of significance in the name of their Divine. These should be of importance, be it through protecting a group, hunting down something of significance, the poisoning of a town, or some other action. Why these actions are considered significant should also be added to your logs, how your character personally feels them necessary or important.

  1. The Realmsguard, upon hearing reports of undead dragons in the Sorrows were sent out to deal with the problem, upon arriving at the scene they encountered dragons of lightning, a fight ensuing of knights verses dragons, one of legend and out of a story book. Byrne getting a epic kill with a one liner on the empyerial wyrm. ((Got all successes on a finishing blow B) )) He then later collected a skull from one of them to hang in his lair.
  2. In act three of The Realmsguard Arc. Byrne participated heavily in a conflict for their lives against a group of bandits and another group of rangers. Doing his very best not to kill anyone and take prisoners, eventually getting people to stand down and surrender, later being given justice in blackrush.
  3. In act four of the Realmsguard arc. Byrne went with his friends and allies into Nid Arach to save Andrew’s mother after she had been kidnapped. After traversing the difficult terrain of the area, he head into the cave in which she was held, taking the lives of her captures and assisting in her freement. After which he attempted to help calm her down with Andrew.
  4. In the finale of the Realmsguard arc is where Byrne stood his tallest and bravest, marching into the nether alongside his allies to slay ‘The Wither’. After having a legendary battle that will be spoken of for ages which for Byrne included bolstering his allies, redirecting shots towards himself and taking on a giant skeleton of withery essence left him marked with a large streak of white in his hair. After helping with the finishing of the wither itself by shooting a lightning bolt into it at the same time as a ballista bolt was shot, the battle was over, the realm saved from its destruction. Left burned and marked, Byrne hugged his friend Mylohk and collected a skull from it alongside a flower to be given to Anisar from the wither’s death ground garden
  5. Screams being reported from the swamps, the realmsguard went to investigate, finding a cultist murder scene. They took extensive records of things and followed the evidence, fighting a giant hoglin in a epic fight that was a spectacle to see. Ultimately winning and going home having made the swamps safer from the corruption it was spreading.
  6. After the loss of the realmsguard battle versus the reaching hand, Byrne revived for the first time with a new sense of life, his approach to everything generally changed. He had been bore witness to his own death through the trinket of another in the style of a cool movie, learning from his past mistakes. Byrne took up the difficult burden of waiting for all those to revive, waiting to see who would come back and wouldnt. Izhmohz, being the lone giant to not return, Byrne broke the news to Kam about her sons fate in a heartfelt experience. He then went after to meet with Stella, to bear the burden of telling her that her friend Izhmohz had perished. Both encounters were equally stressful and difficult to work up the courage to do, but he did them because they were necessary. Additionally to this he fulfilled a dieing wish to Erwin, delivering his final letter to Stella, Erwin’s love interest as he had wished and Byrne had promised to do.
  7. Hired by Eldpoint chivalry office, Byrne and the realmsguard goes into the eldpoint crypts, slaying a horde of giant spiders threatening and plaguing the crypts in a grand battle ending in quite the epic finish.
  8. A peaceful visit to the Tilted Whale and Anchor Taproom was turned into a arrest which Byrne instigated and propelled of the Ex-Valiant blessed Erwin, who was putting on a act as a man named as ‘Arne’. He was brought to jail after being found out by Byrne, later being trialed for his warcrime prior. Byrne being a witness and testifying against him with detailing of how the siege went and ended. He was selected as one of the founders of the realmsguard, by the Queen herself to take Erwin’s life. Byrne bearing this burden decapitates the man. After calming down some and a day passes, he offers the head to Valiant asking for forgiveness, redemption and restoration of the friend he had once lost.
  9. Saved Luna & Gang from a bunch of giant spiders whilst they captured it, this was extremely hard for Byrne, flinging him into a maddened rage, rip & tear being played and he went to town slaying those spiders. His trauma being made worse with the addition of no sources of comfort, no hallucination of a chicken or Anisars voice... only silence... however he pushed through with courage, and a little bloodlust, feeling awful afterwords for letting himself get to that state, making a quiet prayer to Valiant to ask for forgiveness.
  10. Held a summoning dedicated to diplomacy with Magic, watching his father enter a fight with Bennett, having a crucial moment of faith when Erwin left the faith after lots of action, cementing his own faith in dedication to be better than his father and Bennett, solidifying his goal and motivations to become the Exalted one day, doing that by taking his own path using tools from all those around them in the wisdom he is granted from his friends and those who are close. Learning from both Uriel's and Bennett's mistakes and success's. He know's neither side is one hundred percent right, or wrong.
  11. Repaired, Cleaned and sewn up a Ignite banner to offer as a gift to Ignites who thought that his party were raiders from the area, defusing the situation with the gift and kind words, causing them to lower their bows, sharing that they share the same goal and made friends with them, proposing the idea of future work together but that was up to their boss man.

In-Game emote please :)

Theodra: Tier Four

◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥◤◢◣◥

Show extended worship, with three months OOC since achieving T3.
T3 was achieved on 21st December, 2021.
———————————————

Must have a significant presence in the world as an embodiment of the virtues of their divine. Must make a constant effort to guide and foster their faith through either significant personal acts or active participation in events.
She attends a significant amount of events themed around removing threats from the world, and has made Theodra a large part of her life and how she handles things. Be this in how she and her family lives, where they live, the aims to keep the places they live a certain way in Her image, or trying to guide the Conclave in the views of the same faith.
———————————————

Must hold at least one sermon in which they explain their own unique views and understanding of their Divine.
Here she changes and adds to the shrine upon Riseport, to have something representing each aspect of Theodra. She is inspired by how Aryn, and later Thryss, would go through these 'parts' of her to help form an understanding of what she represented. Whilst others were in attendance, she focused primarily on her twins, hoping to offer them further understanding of the faith and why their mother follows Theodra the way she does.
She offers the skull of a Vyre from the 'hunt' prior. Sermon/speech logs are in forum conversation.
———————————————

An event held to sanctify an area/region in the name of their Divine, or the creation of a larger secondary shrine/church.
An event was made to make New Riseport into Divine Grounds, the event above. An additional shrine was made on the island as well, next to the 'silver tree' grown through faction research which is a more public shrine with the tenets around it.
———————————————

Must show further evidence of having a unique view and understanding of their Divine and their faith. To truly show how they differ, and what faith means to them personally.
Her faith is of the core belief that Theodra represents many different aspects of life. She is surviving, and she is learning how to better navigate and understand the world for the same benefit of staying alive within it. She still places value in different creatures, as if they embody different parts, but her scope is bigger now in that everything is tied to her in some way. She is comfortable in her faith as it is simply how she lives.
———————————————

Must have at least ten instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant in the name of their faith separate to the event(s) above.
1 - Introduction to Prayer; She teaches Cael how and why prayer is significant without forcing him in the direction of the Huntress but using it as her primary foundation. She takes Cael on an outing to visit the great wolf shrine of Verdant Valley. Later, she would also show both the twins the ruins of the Cathedral to further go through faith with them, and she invites them to her sermon to directly show her own belief.
2 - Silver Conclave; She founds an organisation under Theodra herself, and over time adds to its numbers with both those of the faith and those who hold respect for Theodra and her ways of life. Through the Conclave, many outings are held, training is encouraged, with the active effort to educate and grant experience to those within it. To better themselves. [ Cult Page ]
3 - Excursion to the Blightlands; Further expanding the Conclave with new goals and new members, she takes them on a journey to the Blightlands. There are several reasons for this, to see their capabilities, to gather flora samples (to do further research on), to see the state of Praes Divina, and to see if Qlippoth's reach has grown into more of a substantial threat. Here they find a creature most unnatural, and they seek to slay it, but as it risks infecting members of the party it is able to flee. [ Event Thread ]
4 - Fledgling Outing; Part of the Conclave, she aspires to provide an introduction to survival skills to those youngest and newest to the world. Specifically her own children, but others are encouraged and welcomed. She has created something of an obstacle course, but it involves letting them decide what is suitable to wear, what equipment to bring, and pathways to navigate. Tracking, jumping, climbing, and evading are all part of this course, for she believes in experiences they will learn, and that if they are hurt in the process they'll learn further from that and not be hurt the next time they try. In the end, they completed it, and took out a boar as well. [ Event Thread ]
5 - Unwelcome; Aelyth finds tracks around the settlement upon Riseport's shores, and upon checking the ship logs, discovers it is likely they are unwelcome visitors. Assuming them to be smugglers of some sort and with ill intentions if they're spying on the people, she takes a group of the Conclave out to discover it. Tracking a figure through the jungles, they go undetected until they find ruins, in which it becomes very clear communication is not a viable option. The Conclave kills the invaders, and Aryn cleanses the Skraag shrine found within, restoring the Isle to its former state. Notes and items suggest there is more to uncover elsewhere, starting with Queensport. [ Event Thread ]
6 - Elimination; Aelyth involves herself in the Eldpoint business after hearing of them taking Leighton's daughter - Leighton being a Conclave member. She recognises Aryn has more direct experience in hunting mortalkind, and so whilst she speaks of a group she'd like to take, she is content for him to be the one to lead them in this. Together with several others, including the recruitment of Lothaire, they kill off a camp of mercenaries with tact and skill. Some injuries are sustained, but none of their party dies, and it is a victory. This is assumed to help in future attacks upon Eldpoint, as well as saving the Valley from being attacked. [ Event Thread ]
7 - Violet Chasm; Aelyth goes along with Lothaire and others to see the source of something deemed unnatural - A strange violet light in the Ashlands. She prioritises scouting ahead and navigating dangerous terrain, trying to help give a safer route. Undead are also dispatched on the way. She and others dispatch several Drakodo after they are disturbed by one of the party, but harvested of some of their remains as to not be a complete waste. The chasm is unable to be descended into at this time, but they will return to do so. [ Event Thread ]
8 - Restorative Worship; She attends a sermon of sorts hosted by one of the members of the Conclave, Cieren. The intent was to put up a new banner, and to give offerings, with a reminder that Theodra shall not be forgotten - The shrine previously ruined or torn down. Aelyth did not take this time to pray, but to reflect, to watch how others see Theodra and how there are small differences in the way each of them worship.
Whilst attending, the weather continued to take a turn, continued to seem unnatural and unnerving. Here, she announced she would seek to speak to their Goddess or a messenger of hers, to uncover what the cause was. Later, a hunt in the jungles of New Riseport culminated in her first use of [Divination], in which she found it was a result of Magic's ascension. She spoke to Marian of this later and others, to spread the news. [ Event Thread ]
9 - Vyre Hunting; Continuing the investigation from Riseport, she eventually moves to Queensport to investigate the icon and wine, where she and others are told of 'Maurus' and a flare up of Vyre attacks within the city. This event is the outcome of that, where a group moved out into the North to track down where they have been coming from, and they locate a fort in the tundra. It is full of vyres, and she does her part in removing them, standing aside to let a captured bear return to the wild, and eventually tries to take on the lord of the castle in a duel for the letters he held. She recognises this was reckless, but considers all of their encounters this way reckless to a degree - Violence. She leaves with more to think of, with a new scar to show for it.
10 - Assaulting the Palace; She strives to help put an end in some manner to the Eldpoint chaos that keeps people such as Leighton's daughter held. She does her part in killing off the defenders of this place in effort to reach and free the Council with a group of others, ultimately ending in fighting with a Theodran mercenary. She holds off on attacking Leighton's foe, believing it important for him to conclude that chapter himself. Leighton and Maple end up dying as a result of the violence here, however. [ Event Thread ]
11 - Exorcism; She is contacted to aid in the removal of a demon from a member of Candlewood, and though she has no experience in it, she aims to assist with Aryn's aid. They create a circle of salt, leaves, and feathers, and after casting [Nature's Illumination], Raenyr becomes violent. She seeks to defend Aryn against him, eventually pinning him to the ground so Aryn may use his blood and recite prayer to remove the 'demon' from its host. It seems to be a success. [ Event Thread ]
12 - Endless Night; A crew is made to try and locate and rescue those of the ship sent some weeks prior north of Queensport. They find it stuck securely in the ice, but with no light, and no movement. A careful exploration shows signs of a struggle, blood and a single corpse, but no signs of the entire crew. Then some of the group go missing, and figures are seen out on the ice. Vyres attack them, and it is uncovered the group in the far North have captured the crew entirely. They lose Lothaire as they try to return to the unfrozen ship, and later lose Halvar as well as he returns out in the blizard to try and find him. Whilst Aelyth strived to return, see it through, rescue the people stranded out there, she was unable to do so and considers it a lesson in being better prepared for the unexpected and terrible conditions. [ Event Thread ]
13 - The Blissful Abyss; A return to the violet chasm, but better prepared. Secure scarves, concealing exposed skin, holy water, and more experience lead the group back down into the expanse of tunnel networks. They uncover an open cavern with many dead, crystallised miners, and fight off a giant spider similarly infected by the strange crystals in the cave. At risk of further exposure but a desire to at least mark off this tunnel branch as 'cleared', Aelyth ascends a small ridge where the spider came from to discover a large crystal not like the others. Calling the attention of the group, Aryn destroys it, and they then struggle to escape as the fumes make them desire to remain within. When they escape it, they quanrantine in Linlea and are eventually 'cured' by Daeron. Further research is needed before another venture to continue to remove the source. [ Event Thread ]
14 - Ocean Harvest; An organised event themed entirely around hunting but of a less used source - The sea. She aims to make it public to see who is interested, and to provide something for those of the Conclave to attend and join together in, instead of more isolated hunting. [ Event Thread ]
———————————————

An offering of something of great personal value to the character themselves given to their Divine. Include evidence of why this offering is of importance and significance.
She has tied the claw gifted to her by Wolves at the beginning of her faith, to the sacred tree she uses for her offerings. This is her offering to Theodra now, something she has worn about her neck for a long time and found comfort and guidance in. It is now that she feels she no longer needs the guidance, that she will remember his lessons without any material item, and that such a thing should be returned to him now.
———————————————

An Oath of personal and religious significance must be sworn in the name of their God.
Aelyth has sworn such; "I swear, upon your name, to uncover what is deemed unnatural or a danger to the balance, and amend it."

Theodra: Tier Three

》═══════~◈~═══════《

Show extended worship, with two months OOC since achieving T2.
Tier 2 approved on February 17, 2022
══════════════════════

Describe the three most prominent relevant deeds they've done since their last rank up.
➼ [The Grating End] Som and a few of her Rangers are asked to join a hunt for great beast of the seas which turned out to be undead. In an environment that presented a great challenge, the hunt commenced! The crews had to work together and use their wits and skill to vanquish the beast.
➼ [Exorcism of Frost] After the Masquerade, Som led the people who remained after the chaos, including other Blessed and the Exalt of her own faith in a ritual to rid the mage Frost from the grip of the demon which held her. It was appropriate that Theodra wrested Frost free, as Som knew the mage to have at least some faith and respect for the Huntress.
➼ [The Blooding] When the echoes of Magic's ascension began to amplify instead of fade, Som organized a ritual hunt and asked Marian to help her reach out to the Huntress and her angels in order to learn how to quiet the echoes - or barring that, what causes it, in hopes that they can prevent this. During this hunt, they encounter the remnants of a demonic summoning gone wrong, and learn that a creature from the depths of hell still stalks the woods. The party cleansed the wood of this threat, and got the answers they sought from the grass and wind.
══════════════════════

The character must have earnest and genuine faith to their Divine.
I'm not sure how to demonstrate this, to be honest, apart from everything shown here, and how central her faith is to the character.
══════════════════════

Evidence of a more unique understanding and outlook towards their own faith.
Som believes that all of the Wilds are Theodra's - from snowy forest to plains to ashen mountain top. And each corner of the Wilds has its own... equilibrium. Balance. Not like the balance of the Grey Lady's judgement, which is a static thing, but a living sort of balance. As if the Wilds are breathing. This balance must be protected, nurtured for the survival of the environs - the best hunting comes when the populations of beasts are healthy, after all. Her role as a Blessed of Theodra is to protect this breathing balance, and protect it against unnatural incursions.
══════════════════════

Must show evidence in their log of teaching another something thematic to their Divine.
Som has instructed Hysope in archery and shared how she prays to Theodra, as well as begun to nurture the young dwarf's path as a huntress.
Som regularly instructs Cieren in archery, as well as tracking, hunting, and sometimes with blades.
══════════════════════

Must have at least five instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant in the name of their faith separate to the event(s) above.
[Guidance] Counseled Candice when Dranoden asked for "something of Theodra's," encouraging her to trust in the skills she had as a follower of Theodra, instead of giving in to her fear. She advised Candice that she was a huntress, and to not let herself be hunted, to seek allies who might help (including the exalt of their shared faith), and to share what information she had in a calm, straightforward matter. When the younger woman seemed to struggle with the events of the masquerade - the blood moon and the battle that followed - she counseled Candice to emulate Theodra's holy animal: the wolf. This included demonstrating loyalty to her "pack" (in this case, Ithildrans), confidence in her hunting capability, and a judicious amount of play to leaven the impact that such violence can have on a person's psyche. The girl didn't know how to play.
[Drako-Go!] While ensuring that the way back to Linlea from the crystal chasm was clear of dangers so that she could escort the group of young adventurers who had gotten sick, she and Marian noticed some drakodo dangerously close to the shore. Luckily another hunting party was already stalking the drakodo, and they joined forces to hunt the beasts, eliminating the danger so the young adventurers could be escorted back to Linlea.
➼ [Blossom Festival] During the springtime Blossom Festival, Som participated in and won the archery contest - and in the interest of testing her skill in archery, she didn't use the aid of her archblossom bow. One of her opponents was (unbeknownst to her) Theodra's first priest, Ced. These competitions are notable events of faith for Som because she struggles with articulated prayer. To her, bending her bow is a sort of physical prayer, as is exploring the Wilds. To triumph in one of these is a vindication of the work that she has put into strengthening her body and honing her skills.
➼ [Holy Water] Som happened upon a man in Storm's Landing who had just moved there with his companions, but unfortunately had also had a run-in with Branko Callas (well... three Brankos) and been made a vyre. With a prayer to Theodra, she gave this man and his friend a drink of holy water, purging him of the curse which held him. Since reaching Tier 2 and obtaining her artifact, Som has become aware of just how many vyres are wandering around Altera. She doesn't view them as inherently evil, but does regard them as unnatural and fully dead - remaining a vyre is to reject survival in her opinion, and she helped the newcomers to Storm's Landing survive by curing them of their vyrism.
➼ [Bending the Bow] Crafts bows! She had a stand at the spring festival, and gave a bow to her student Hysope. She also crafted a bow that was a reward for the winner of a friendly competition between younger followers of Theodra who shot in the archery competition after the ritual hunt. She similarly crafted a bow for one of the men that she cured of vyrism, so that he had a way to defend himself. She is sought out for her skills by many - most recently Halvar.
══════════════════════

[To Great Lengths]
They must showcase ten additional instances of significance in the name of their Divine. These should be of importance, be it through protecting a group, hunting down something of significance, the poisoning of a town, or some other action. Why these actions are considered significant should also be added to your logs, how your character personally feels them necessary or important.

➼ [Wild Hunt] Cleared no fewer than 16 effigies from the Wilds. Som believe this to be an important part of her hunting practice, as the undead the effigies raise put the Wilds out of balance, akin to an invasive species. Stalking through the Wilds, avoiding the shambling creatures, and hunting something which has no tracks is also a way for Som to hone her skills and keep them sharp.
➼ [Blood in the Snow] To the north of Queensport, there was a threat of undead accumulating a mass grave that would be unleashed come the spring. Som set forth with a force to deal with that threat. The fight began with a blizzard, and undead coming in from the woods to assault their fortified position from the snow. The battle was intense, but she survived when many did not. And in doing so, she remembered a battle from long ago, against the corrupted Harateth and his clones, where she bore an arrow that had been gifted by Theodra.
➼ [Dust and Echoes] Som went into the Ashlands with Aryn, Aelyth, and Ashna to hunt for information about Maurus and what he might be plotting near Queensport. There was a man who had been left to die, and was starving as a vyre. Som dispatched him without mercy, for the man was already dead. The group learned that the expedition they stalked came into the Ashlands some years ago, seeking drakes for an unknown purpose. They left with craftsmen having been turned into vyres
➼ [Hunt Craft] With all of the urban hunting that had to be done, Som dyed her iconic red hair a deep black so that she would not stand out quite so much. Together with Aryn and Aelyth, she went to investigate a craftsman who was on the Ashlands expedition with Maurus. Som used her skills as a hunter to stalk the craftsman, after which Aryn was able to speak with him, and they gleaned more information for the northern struggle against Maurus. After this, Som spent the next week or so in Queensport ready to come to Cieren's aid if the young woman got into trouble. She spent her time learning the language of her current quarry, both from Cieren and Halvar.
➼ [Clearing Krowlers] Ventured into the sewers of Eldpoint to hunt Krowlers that had gotten out of control. While down there with Velar and Jacob, Som had to adapt to a changing environment - planar convergence made the gravity of the tunnels inconsistent. She adapted with aplomb, utilizing the new flexibility that her environment gave her to full advantage. They cleared out the krowlers, and when they got to the nest, Som realized that there was no reason the injured female and young had to die. They simply had to be removed to the forest - krowlers are endemic everywhere, and held little risk of becoming invasive in this case especially. What happened to them after she relocated them was not her concern, but she gave them their best chance.
➼ [Trailblazer] Som has modeled a strength of character and faith over an extended period of time, drawing both Jacob and Hysope towards the Huntress. Even less religious individuals (someone raised in the Ashen Truth, actually, and indoctrinated to be opposed to the pantheon) have observed and commented on Som's faith as unique - more accessible, and that she explains it in a more understandable way than others that they've met. This is not something she does consciously; she simply cannot be any other way, and her faith is an intrinsic part of who she is. It is included here to demonstrate that she is perceived by those around her as a person of strong faith, and this has had a growing ripple effect.
➼ [First Steps] Som happened upon the exorcism of Sylvia almost by accident, but ended up witnessing the actions that Raelur took to purge Sylvia of her possession. She helped drive the demon from the ring that it then went into by pouring holy water over it, ending the threat that it would possess someone else. After this, she sought out someone who could teach her how to perform such an exorcism herself, first speaking with Raelur, then to Ashna, and finally to Aryn. She used this knowledge when exorcising Frost, and believes it is the strength of her faith which allows her to do these.
➼ [Ecology] Som came across a bunch of plants that had been transmuted by Melarue in the graveyard. After Quill, one of the Ranger Watchers, had identified the plant and learned as much as she could, Som dug up the plants with Aryn and his daughter Alyssa so that they would not spread farther than that spot. A few days later, most of a field of wheat had been transmuted, with the rest of the field being decimated by the plague of locusts brought on by Branko. Som spent most of a day, along with Raelur, Quill, and Kharn, digging up the plants. Her main concern with all of this is not allowing the plants to spread into the Wilds.
➼ [Broken Monastery] Far to the north of Halbed, Som ventured with a group to bring aid to a Rahas monastery that had long since gone quiet. When they got there, it quickly became clear that there was something demonic going on, and that perhaps there had been . They sought out the imps that remained lurking in the top floors of the monastery, and killed all of them. Before they left, they burned the bodies of the monks that had been defiled by the demonic incursion.
➼ [Like Lambs] Again, Som dyed her hair so as not to give away her identity! She went with Aryn, Ashna, and Aleksei under the correct impression that the masquerade would be something to do with Dranoden, one of the main demons seeking minions in the overworld. Aryn and Aleksei had learned that Melarue was going to be attempting to summon Dranoden that night and either sacrifice or possess the entire party that came in attendance. Som proceeded to spend most of the rest of the ball going around and breaking the circle that Melarue was leaving around the dance floor in blood - at least until the blood moon came. When the chaos began, Som saw Melarue begin to draw the circle in earnest. She saw that the woman could easily have completed her goal and when she aimed her bow, she aimed to kill. It is not typical for Som to shoot to kill another person, but Melarue posed a threat to the world. When the woman dropped, Som then went to defend Aleksei, landing shots on (unbeknownst to her) Eren/Xozu and Branko, and landing what would have been a killing shot on the exalt of Jishrim later in the chaos.
➼ [Butcher's Tomb] Som joined Ashna on a hunt for the gluttony vyre progenitor, ending up at a tomb in the middle of the desert. The tomb where he had been kept was riddled with traps, and they had to make their way through without being skewered by something or turned by the various sources of blood. There were a few grave robbers in the main tomb area who had gotten stuck and died, turning into vyres. They were dispatched easily, with Som dealing with two of them herself with arrows to the head.
➼ [Clearing Ground II] With a group of the Rangers, and some folks closely affiliated with the guild, Som went hunting bandits in the hills north of Eldpoint. She stalked quietly through the grass, working in tandem with her companions to eliminate the threat of bandits from the wilds. She shot two of them where they stood before I had connection issues the group had wrapped up the fight.
➼ [Chaos Tree] Som, Jaden, and Frost eradicated one of the Jishrim trees from outside the tavern in Storm's Landing. She knew it would grow into a more significant threat than it presented as an adolescent, so despite the treeture spitting acid at the people who attacked it, she bent her formidable bow arm towards eliminating it, and even learned something about its nature in the process.

Show worship of a Divine for at least one month OOC from the creation of a divine profile/thread.
Thread is here [X]. Date created was March 31st.

The character must be at least two months old OOC.
Created in 2015 but recreated the profile couple months ago. Here it is [X]

The character must be at least sixteen years of age.
Jacob is currently 32 years old.

Describe the most prominent relevant deed they've done since their last rank up.
[Wilder Than A Bear] During a hunt Jacob shot and killed three undead with a bow and arrow. As the group was clearing out the last of the dead, a bear sprung out of the forest towards them. Jacob proceeded to circle around the bear and jump on its back, stabbing at it with an iron dagger until eventually felling the beast and protecting his fellow hunters. [X]

Three notable acts in line with their Divine (Hunting, Healing, Bartering, etc) separate to the event(s) above.
[Forced To Wager] During the archery competition at the blossom festival, Jacob was goaded into participating by his friend Som. Although he did not win in any sense, he shot fairly well. [X]

[Extermination] Invited on a hunt by his friend Velar, Jacob went into the Eldpoint sewers to exterminate an infestation of Krowlers. He personally slayed the alpha of the den and fought off a wave of them with the assistance of his comrades, claiming at least five kills himself. At the end he was the one to set fire to the nest. [X]

[Demonic Boars And Theodran Rituals] Jacob took part in a large ritualistic hunt with many other followers of Theodra. During their hunt they were attacked by a herd of boars, lead by a demonic boar that stood on two legs and carried an axe. With the help of Marian and Som, they fought the foul beast. During the fight Jacob was able to disarm the demonic boar and claim its axe, which he promptly used to lop its head off its shoulders. At the end of the hunt was a divination to Theodra which was answered.[X]

[Festivities And Celebrations] After the ritualistic hunt for Theodra, Jacob joined the group in a feast held in the huntresses honor. He drank and ate with the fellow hunters and even joined in an archery competition, but was bested by many a good shot.

One offering of an item to their Divine at a shrine/church/etc.
Jacob deposited the iron dagger he used to kill the bear, which was the same one used in the fight with the demonic boar, at the Theodra shrine at Eldpoint. Although of average make, it held sentimental value as his first step into becoming a proper hunter. (I have the item because there was nowhere to put it. Will hand off to a staff member.)

Describe the most prominent relevant deed they've done since their last rank up. This can be a hosted event, a significant achievement, or similar spectacle, but it should tend towards acts that demonstrate their faith to others.
While in Nid Arach with a group of friends, she got found by a weird Giant Spider Person Thing (Bok'ra spider form), she was scared, but when the spider proposed to let Aki go but let it kill one of her friends, she ignored her fear, putting on a combat stance, the spider left, looking for a better place to ambush Aki from, but when it did, Marcelline went crazy due to blood moon vyre effects, attacking the first target in sight, that being Aki. They fought for a bit, but due to Aki's unwillingness to attack who she saw as an ally, even when they betrayed her, she got killed.
{Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Tenets. Defence, Courage, Honour, Conflict.}

Three notable acts in line with their Divine (Hunting, Healing, Bartering, etc) separate to the event(s) above. 3/3
Spoke with Byrne, looking for help and advice. They discussed about introspection, the lore of Rahas, and repentance.

Helped an old man (The Nameless), who could barely stand by himself, find his way back home. When the man turned out to be a crazy Jishrimite, she, even whilst debilitated, fought him, and was capable of cutting the mad man's hand. The man escaped, but hopefully he learned his lesson.
{Courage, Conflict}

Dueled against Raenyr, it was a nice duel, they both had similar levels of power, but she ultimately lost. It proved that she still had much to learn, even though she might be confident in her abilities.
{Courage, Honor, Conflict, Second Tenet}

Pledged a personal oath of no killing (non-murderers)
{Honor, First Tenet}

Aided Anya and Keone with combat basics, dueling them both unharmed whilst providing weapons to them both, to prove the point that ability overpowers equipment
{Second Tenet}

Dueled against Leonhardt, proving her valor as she was unwilling to give up, even after suffering severe wounds she was unyielding, the duel only ended after Leonhardt cut off her left hand, making her unable to defend herself.
{Second and Sixth Tenets. Courage, Honor, Conflict.}

Joined the Inquisition of Saint Jacqueline first Inheritor as Leonhardt's squire, being in charge of defending the Cathedral as it is their temporary Headquarters, acting as part of its garrison, aswell as following the orders of her commanders.
{Third, Fourth, and Fifth Tenets. Defence, Courage, Honor.}

After discovering the Inquisition was working with the Rangers to trap Reinhard, one of her good friends, and forcefully exorcise him, she had a choice to make. To either betray the Inquisition and help Reinhard out, or to betray Reinhard and help the Inquisition and Rangers. She chose to help both, sending an anonymous letter to Reinhard, warning him of what was to come, but instead of telling him to escape or otherwise, she insisted that he surrendered himself, to prevent the most of harm.
{Justice, Honor, First Tenet, Fifth Tenet}

Accompanied the Empyrean Cabal to a visit to Nid Arach, aiding them whilst exploring. Even when meeting a group of Jishrimites, remained peaceful, as they were not agressive, avoiding unecessary conflict even though who they follow is dubious.
{Third Tenet}

One offering of an item to their Divine at a shrine/church/etc (Log its OOC location for collection.) X
Offered one of her most exceptional works to Valiant, a medium-sized glimmersteel blade, leaving it at Valiant's shrine in Storm's Landing's Great Cathedral

Show extended worship, with two months OOC since achieving T2.
Achieved T2 on [10/25/2021].

Describe the three most prominent relevant deeds they've done since their last rank up.
  • He ambushed a number of conspirators during their attempt to summon Dranoden.
  • Aleksei published the Codex of Ash, the next installment in a long tradition of ignite codexes.
  • Aleksei integrated his inquisition into the government of Storm’s Landing, to finally put an end to the city’s perennial corruption and lawlessness.

The character must have earnest and genuine faith to their Divine.
While his faith has wavered over the many decades of his life, he has come to terms with his wavering faith and faced many of those figurative demons. He now fully believes in Ignis, more than ever before.

Evidence of a more unique understanding and outlook towards their own faith.
  • Aleksei believes that order trumps law. He believes that if a law will cause disorder by following it, it is the duty of the clergy to evaluate the law and strike it out in favor of more pious law.
  • He believes faith is defined by virtues. He believes that absolute obedience is a virtue, and that an ideal ignite is one who is absolutely obedient to their master.
  • Aleksei believes that there is glory in politics. It is better to negotiate with an enemy to make them do what you want them to do, rather than force them to do so by a disorderly use of force.

Must show evidence in their log of teaching another something thematic to their Divine.
Aleksei’s Codex of Ash is full of scripture. As are his debates against heretics, frequent meetings where he explains the ideology of his faith, and all of his inquisitors are subject to his teachings.

Must have at least five instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant in the name of their faith separate to the event(s) above.
  • Aleksei convinced Leonhard to abandon his pursuit of magic, and rekindle his faith instead.
  • He declared personal jurisdiction over Storm’s Landing, and during that time no crime was committed for fear of his inquisition’s reprisal.
  • In an orderly fashion, he established a garrison in the ruins of the grand cathedral and then later disbanded it when it was no longer necessary.
  • He honorably attended a trial that he knew was unlawful, biased against him, and that he felt had no right to try him. In spite of it, he argued so persuasively against the kangaroo court that they “sentenced” him to continuing his work of pruning the city of its corrupt elements.
  • Aleksei has begun turning the mage Nikolche away from magic and toward faith. He instructed the man on the proper conduct of an Ignite and the flaws of his old ways, and as far as I know he has not violated any of Aleksei’s ordinances.

They must also pick one of the following paths:
[To Great Lengths]
They must showcase ten additional instances of significance in the name of their Divine. These should be of importance, be it through protecting a group, hunting down something of significance, the poisoning of a town, or some other action. Why these actions are considered significant should also be added to your logs, how your character personally feels them necessary or important.

Aleksei debated Milah Sicarus on the virtue of serving Magic, versus serving a deity.
It allowed Aleksei the chance to openly discuss the clear problems of practicing magic. How it damages the planes, and the virtue of allowing reasonable restrictions on oneself for the benefit of all.

Aleksei joined the Legio Divinatus.
A cornerstone of Aleksei’s faith is the open and honest cooperation of anyone who is willing to meet him in sincere negotiation - even if he does not like them or finds their practices disgusting. Becoming a member of this network of powerful blessed was a major coup for his strategy.

Aleksei uncovered evidence of a demonic plot.
Because of his openness to negotiate with anyone in spite of their differences, Aleksei knew of the demon Melarue’s home and that it housed her journal. In cooperation with the exalt of Theodra, he secretly read the contents of the journal which revealed a plot to summon Dranoden in the midst of a huge ball.

Aleksei interrupted a conspiracy, and engaged in a bloody melee with several of its members.
He interrupted the demonic plot to summon Dranoden alongside several members of the Legio Divinatus. For his part in the battle, he fought three worshippers of dark gods at once. A Vyre, a Visage blessed, and Branko Callas. He survived the melee long enough to have his allies come to his rescue, thus glorifying God through combat. While he believes in peaceful negotiation, he believes that readiness for battle is equally important, and this is important to him that he did not embarrass himself on the battlefield.

Aleksei exorcised Frost alongside other blessed.
Exorcising demons is obviously something that God favors, and Aleksei played a role in exorcising Frost.

Aleksei hunted down Melarue, although he failed to exorcise her.
Aleksei has always struggled with, shall we say, a gentleness toward women. He has always been reluctant to do them harm, and has at times been quite bigoted toward them as he has in the past been toward other races. While he successfully captured Melarue and brought her to his castle, he doubted that she had the strength or willfulness to escape and so allowed her free reign of the castle and visitors. On the eve of her exorcism, she was very easily rescued by her allies. This taught Aleksei that sometimes cruelty, such as imprisoning her in the dungeon would have been, is necessary.

Aleksei recruited Nikolche Variclav to the inquisition.
Nikolche read of Aleksei’s teachings and his open defiance to the council’s authority. He wanted to rid the Landing of its corrupt elements too, and felt Aleksei possessed the strength and moral character to do so, and so he joined Aleksei. That he was a mage and now Aleksei could convince a mage to pursue a more moral path without coercion is something that Aleksei feels is a major coup.

Aleksei recruited both a heretic and an exalt to his quest to destroy the artifacts of Evil.
Ashna, Aleksei, and Athryl should be natural enemies. They all have ‘A’ as the first letter in their name after all. However, Aleksei successfully managed to convince both the heretic and the exalt of a religion he often chafes with to assist him in getting rid of the artifacts of Evil by aiding him. That they have aided him provides further evidence of his strategy of negotiation over violence being correct in his eyes.

Aleksei, controversially, convinced Karn that they should work together to get rid of the artifacts of Evil.
While the Exalt of Ignis is openly and vehemently opposed to Skraag, Aleksei is willing to attempt to manipulate even the cultists of that dark god to achieve more lawful ends. He elicited a promise from the skraagite Karn that they shall peacefully destroy the artifacts of Evil together, in an orderly fashion, instead of being forced to destroy one another to attempt to control them. All that stops him now from destroying the Archangel Evil forever is to convince the third bearer of Evil.

Aleksei published the Black Book, a handbook for inquisitors.
The Black Book is a document that ensures inquisitors shall not knowingly act in a disorderly manner. It outlines their responsibilities, when to respect jurisdiction of other powers, how to offer assistance in an orderly manner, when those laws may be ignored, what punishments are appropriate, and how to conduct oneself. If an inquisitor always keeps a copy hand (and they all are required to), and the always follow the Black Book in the absence of Aleksei or a Chapter Inquisitor (as they are required to) no inquisitor shall accidentally overstep their authority and embarrass Aleksei by sullying their order.

Aleksei has established Lichtfern, the site of the Inquisition’s Repository.
The Repository houses many evil or potentially artifacts, and it is important to Aleksei that these artifacts are kept contained. It may one day provide possible to bless then and turn them away from evil pursuits, or destroyed and their power used in a ritual for good. For now, he has more important matters to do and is content to keep them contained, away from where they can cause disorder in society.

Aleksei confiscated a demonic mirror.
He does not understand its significance, that it is the means by which demons may enter the world and their cultists may commune with them. He only knows that it is evil, and there is something of demonic corruption about it. It is in the Repository.

Aleksei established a second settlement south of the Landing, South Crossroads.
With the intent of providing a space of relative order so near to the capital of disorder in the lands, Aleksei is establishing a small settlement. Violence and thievery shall be strictly forbidden within it, but all shall be welcome. Including criminals, and those of devious faiths. In this way, by providing a place where everyone is allowed, including those exiled from other lands, Aleksei can keep an eye on everyone.
