Back story:
His mother died during his birth, because of this he was a very sickly child and was raised by his father who was just a lowly farmer. When Alan was 19 he join the king's guard and went to the holy land, while there he was one of the king's best fighters, while in the holy land he learned from the locals and picked up some of there secret's and tricks. While he was fighting he saw what the solders has become they enjoyed killing, a group of them went out on killing a whole village of innocent people that is when Alan decided to only do good in this world and only kill if it is completely necessary and build things to help people and to help prevent death and suffering. When he was in the holy land he saw what religion had done it had caused thousands of deaths and over a piece of land that was sacred to all of the religions and could have shared, so he turned from the light and saw what religion had become making its self more powerful and for what a theory of what happened, he saw the true path to happiness it came from helping people and finding new things out and creating things for people.
