The Inquisition of Saint Jacqueline, by command of the Inheritor, issues more heralds under the pay of House Ivanov. They spread their proclamation through the major cities of the land.

The proclamation is thus:

ATHRYL MITHTANIL, THOSE OF THE CULT OF KNOW, AND THOSE WHO WOULD HARBOR THEM ARE HEREBY COLLECTIVELY EXCOMMUNICATED FROM LAW

Anathema is the status imposed on those who are an enemy to all orderly civilization. A person who is anathema is someone that the inquisition has jurisdiction and authority over in perpetuity, who shall find no safe harbor in lands outside of their jurisdiction, and who shall be pursued to the fullest possible extent as an enemy of order itself.

These are the Laws of Man which have been broken by Mithtanil, and which his cult - wittingly or not - conspires toward.

THE FIRST LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is conspiring toward the breaking of this law. It is the confessed wish of Mithantil that he wishes to see Know achieve apotheosis. Mithtanil is aware that the apotheosis of Know will result in the veil between planes being reduced to shreds of nothing, and that this will result in the deaths of countless mortals.

THE SECOND LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is innocent of this crime, at least so far as the Inquisition is aware.

THE THIRD LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is conspiring toward this crime, with cosmic stakes at hand. It is Mithtanil's wish that Know achieve apotheosis, and in achieving apotheosis Mithtanil is aware that this will lay the entire mortal realm bare against attacks from hell itself where the demons conjure from, against attacks from the dark gods, against attacks from figments of all kinds, and against countless other things that live in the Otherside. Whoever inherits the world shall not be the powers at be, but shall be the victor of these countless competing interests.

THE FOURTH LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is guilty of this crime. He has broken this law not only with respect to God Herself, but with all divine beings and persons. It is the aims of his Cult of Know to raise Know as a divine person to achieve apotheosis, and steal the place of Visage. Visage is unloved by most, but the behavior is inexcusable heresy to the pantheon as a whole as well as the norms and customs of all faithful.

THE FIFTH LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is guilty of this crime. He has willingly spoke all of The Nine Lies in attempting to evade responsibility for his worship of Know.

THE SIXTH LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is innocent of this crime, at least so far as the Inquisition is aware.

THE SEVENTH LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is guilty of this crime. He is the agent of disorder, and he incites those of his cult to further his agenda in ignorance of the true consequences.

THE EIGHTH LAW:
The verdict of the Inheritor is that Mithtanil is guilty of this crime. Mithtanil has said to all who will listen to him that the justice to be brought to bear against him is driven by self-interest. That not only will the justice be mercilessly delivered to everyone without discrimination, but that the only way to preserve the lives of themselves and those they love is to defend him with those lives instead. This is a lie, but Mithtanil is guilty of inciting others to die in his defence before facing judgement all the same.

THE IMMUTABLE TRUTHS HELD IN EVIDENCE:
- That the goals of the Cult of Know as interpreted by Mithtanil have changed at least four times as Mithtanil has faced more or less public pressure. First a cult to the dead god Silas, then a cult to Visage, then a cult to Know as a paragon of their ideals, then a cult to Know as a true deity. Mithtanil lies and changes the end goal of his cult as suits him, and has done so times being counting to each different person that asks.
- The Mithtanil has lied about the true stakes of worshipping Know. Mithtanil has been told and shown and had forced upon him the immutable truths held in evidence, but ignores them for his own narcissistic ends.
- That the Cult of Know, if left unchecked, will result in the death of reality itself. Archon first broke the planes, and ever since then they have been weak. Then Magic ascended and the planes became alike wax paper, thin and easily torn. Now if Know is allowed to ascend, it is the immutable truth that will destroy the veil outright.
- If the veil is destroyed outright, then there shall be no barriers between the realms of man - the physical realm of mortals and reality as we understand it - and the realms of spirits. That we shall merge fully at once with hell, the realms of the divine, the thoughtscapes of figments, and that it shall be if not the end of mortal life it shall certainly be the end of reality as we understand it now.
- That the Inquisition of Saint Jacqueline is seeking out Mithtanil, and those followers who continue to defend him in spite of these immutable truths. That no harsh penalties will be placed on the innocents, for no unjust penalties shall befall them.
- That Mithtanil has been given countless opportunities, the benefit of the doubt, and recommendations to change his faith to not be heretical and not result in the death of reality itself if left unchecked. That Mithtanil has denied every opportunity.

THE RIGHTING OF THE WRONGS, THE SETTLING OF SCORES, THE COMING OF JUSTICE:
Athryl should present himself to the Inquisition of Saint Jacqueline or their allies so that he may be brought to trial. There he shall stand trial, and his guilt determined. If found guilty, he shall be given a penance to perform and if he performs his penance and commits no future crimes from that date, he shall be left alone and given the peace he claims to desire but denies every opportunity for.

His works that spread the faith of the Cult of Know shall be destroyed or confiscated, but cannot be allowed to circulate.

Those who live in Candlewood should take their things and leave the stronghold of heresy behind so that it may be cleansed. The works that do not relate to the glorification of Know shall be preserved where possible.

Those of Aethel Deira are encouraged to either give up their councilmember to the Inquisition, or abandon him. If they wish to defend him, they may do so legally at trial. Attempts to harbor the excommunicated shall be considered an act of war, by anyone who attempts to do so.

The Inquisition shall take no immediate actions in the coming days, to allow the innocent to prepare and for the wise to make their plans. When the time is right, it will obliterate the Cult of Know. Those who wish to speak to the Inquisition may at their leisure as ever. However, the Inquisition will only accept empirical evidence in the face of the Immutable Truths Held In Evidence, not pleas to emotion.

Obligatory OOC clarification: not really interested in ruining other people's fun, destroying regions, whatever. Inquisiton is just after Athryl IC, and I'm certainly not after Ice OOC he's scary and he'll send his stream after me.
