A Declaration from the Imperatrix to the citizens of Cor Votum, spread by Heralds, Posters and Ravens throughout the Empire.
To my citizens, we have not let your wants for change to the Corpse Law fall on deaf ears. After a discussion with our fair and just Imperator, he has agreed that from this day forward, the following changes will be made to the Corpse Law:
-Any volunteers to the Imperial Army or Navy, will earn a optional
exemption from the corpse law for his or her Mother and/or Father.
-Any volunteers to the Imperial Army or Navy who serve within the forces for 5 years, or until
physically unable, will themselves be granted an optional exemption from the corpse law.
-Any followers of the Grey Lady within the Empire, who regularly
pay their taxes to the Empire, are welcome to petition the Imperatrix
via letter, to request an exemption to the Corpse Law for themselves and their families.
-Should any individual who earns an optional exemption from the
Corpse Law elect not to use this option. The family of the deceased
will receive a one time payment in thanks for waiving their right to true burial.
Should you wish to volunteer for the Imperial Army or Navy. Report to the closest stronghold or garrison, and make clear to the commander your wishes for your exemptions, all will be honoured.
