ROGAL GLADE
Jishrim T1-T2 Application
*Deep within Rogal's Cell, he prays to the Mad God. He prays for strength to bring forth a new age of Madness, an age of corruption. May he receive the blessing.*
(I would prefer my emote in-game if at all possible, if it is too strenuous on the team - forums are fine!)
Show extended worship, with one month OOC since achieving Blessed status.
Yes, was T1 on February 6th. (I am posting this a couple hours before midnight, I am just very tired. Please don't consider until then! Thank you!)
Describe the two most prominent relevant deeds they've done since their last rank up.
[The Fight Against the Night Star]
During the continuation of his fight against Dranoden, the flock of the Night Star has begun to corrupt and destroy shrines that belong to the Mad One. As such, Rogal and his Cult have begun to take back and push forward Jishrim's grasp upon the world. Rogal's goal is to make Dranoden fall under Jishrim's domain, bringing forth the Hellscape too. Forcing him to be a servant evermore to the Mad One.
Below are screenshots of the shrines and areas taken in Jishrim's name through Rogal.
And finally, the second - this one I couldn't get a screenie of but got Solus' response:
The shrine appears with shattered glasses of various colors of the rainbow scattered across the ground. The dark pillars remain broken but standing, long worn by old cracks. And teal vines curl around them. Foliage of various plants of the Hellscape grow around a circling ring. As Rogal looks away from the eyeball, a chittering laughter crawls across his head before it vanishes.. The offering no longer appearing to be there.
A mirror is propped at the top of the shrine, poised to face the southward direction. It grows hazy, and a soft, deep tone echoes through it. "Such a .. disappointment." Rogal feels a strange pang across his chest. He feels the gaping loss of pieces of his soul fill him, a pressing memory of what was taken for his atrocity. As he rests on the ground, he feels the breath wind out of him before he's able to breath again. This feeling will remain on his forefront, taunting him. The mirror then cracks, shattering glass onto the floor.
All else seems to look un-tethered and un-disturbed.
[ The Darkened Clutch ]
Rogal, in his effort to empower and spread Jishrim's grasp - has developed a new darkened cult. The Darkened Clutch. This group focuses around the idea of changing Jishrim's ideologies and perception. Instead of constant killing & destruction, the Clutch believes in holding power and a grasp through control, corruption, and work in the shadows. Bringing forth Madness in a new and more exciting way.
A public thread for this has not been created as I have been bad OOC to make one and also don't want folks getting meta-y to start.
Not only this, but the Rogal has created a "home base" for the Cult, an abandoned hamlet now called "Ophidian's Grove" that shall serve as a sanctuary for all those of the Mad One.
The character should keep something on them that represents their Divine personally. (Items, Clothing, etc)
[ The Serpent's Regalia ]
Dedicated items that serve as part of his "aesthetic" but also his dedication to Jishrim. Each item Masterworked. Each continuing to uphold the fun that can be had with these forms of weapons and dark items.
Must create a small shrine to their Divine, and grant it an offering. (Must be an item, check notes at the top of the page.)
Rogal currently holds two locations and shrines. One is located at the Serpent's Den, the Brothel in Storm's Landing. The other is Ophidian's Grove, an entire region dedicated to Jishrim and his work. Hidden from the world, this space is for Jishrim and the followers of the Darkened Clutch. I have attached images as well as coordinates.
Ophidian's Grove (Coordinates 195, 43, -6015)
The Serpent's Den (5148, 43, 959)
In terms of items, Rogal is dedicating three items to the shrines.
[ Drapax Corpse ] A Drapax Corpse that was killed during a fight with the Hellscape Demons. Rogal believes this to be an offering that may further the grasp of Jishrim into the Hellscape.
[ Melarue's Eyeball ] An Eyeball of Melarue, the lover of Dranoden. May it be of use to the Mad God.
[ Melarue's Sword ] A sword that Melarue wielded before Rogal took her hand and eye. Another marker of hopes that Jishrim can do nefarious deeds with it.
Must have at least five instances in their divine log where they have personally done something significant seen favourably by their Divine separate to the event(s) above.
[ A Peace Offering ]
When Melarue attempted to offer peace against Rogal and her, in the fight that never ends against the Night Star, Rogal felt this was a sign of weakness. A cop out. He led Melarue along, stringing forth the agreement until a time that their hands met - and then he took her hand for such weakness. He also took her eye as justice for when his was taken by Dayton and her. An eye for an eye.
[ The Grey Lady's Liege ]
Rogal and Laicelem have formed a rivalry unlike any other. In fact, so much so, that Rogal has waged war against the Grey Lady to further the Madness around the realm. Laicelem felt anger towards Rogal's recent actions, and took to vigilantism to solve them. Two specific instances arose in which Rogal felt he had no choice but to fight back.
Once in the Undertavern, when Laicelem came to take Rogal to prison for his "deeds." This resulted in an all out Madness between around ~10 people, fighting and chaos ensuing thanks to Rogal. Melarue lost some blood, Veldric lost a /lot/ of blood, and Laicelem died. All in all, the first battle that brought forth the inklings of chaos in the Landing.
The second was a night in the Kraken's Den, in which Rogal and his family was peacefully drinking to themselves. Laicelem once more approached and said that the moment Rogal stepped out of the tavern, he would be taken prisoner and brought forth to the Council. Rogal played his little tricks, and eventually cast [Madness I] on the Tavern in its entirety, running for his dear life with Sydri accompanying. Laicelem did not quite take this kindly, and tried to shoot down Rogal which only resulted in him shooting /Sydri/ instead. This led to the tavern-goers stopping Laicelem before anyone else got hurt, and fights and bickering breaking out. The chaos continued in the Landing. Rogal even posted a bounty in the Landing to stir the chaos even further after the events, found [

The last was a removal of the tongue from Laicelem. After Rogal continued to spit upon the Grey Lady and push Jishrim's values, Laicelem took Rogal's tongue and cut it clean off. For now he can speak no more madness but gutteral noises.
[ The Tainted Librarian ]
Elthea, a dear fried of Melarue, confronted Rogal in the Kraken's Den one evening because of his fight against the Night Star and his flock, specifically Melarue. She began to spat several insults and accusations towards him, riling quite the crowd. It led to a cup of wine being thrown on Rogal by a mage, Lysander. Rogal countered that Melarue was a member of the Demon-folk, as was her son, and should be the one's on trial - not him. After a bit of [Madness I] being cast, Rogal slipped out the back and traced down Elthea. He took two of her fingers for such disgusting words being thrown in the Tavern.
[ The Corrupted Councilman ]
Eliss Cuttingthorne wished for a meeting with Rogal, to discuss the bounty upon Laicelem's head. Through Rogal's innate need to control and corrupt, he politically created a plan with Eliss to frame Laicelem for murder and more - planting a dismembered hand with Laicelem's arrow in it in the road in which Eliss would find it, and a helpful sum of 10,000 radiants for the Councilmembers cooperation.
Several days passed, and nothing came from Rogal's efforts. Eliss was weak in his offerings, and did not keep his agreement. A new meeting was called between the two, in which Rogal accused him of being weak. Of betraying Jax and his tenants. To break a deal, a vow.. tsk tsk. Eliss continued to push off the argument until there was no further collaboration of the two. Rogal threatened that if he did not get the hand and money back, he would tell the Council of Eliss' work.
With no return, Rogal sent a letter to all active sitting Councilmembers on Eliss' deeds, and began posting these posters around the landing [

[ The Burning at Night ]
At the stroke of midnight in the Landing, Rogal had the bells toll - signaling something occurring in the Festival Grounds. A large, extremely large, group of citizens came to the area. Rogal created a stake in which he would be burned upon, calling forth the citizens to make a decision. For tonight, they would be the judge, the jury, and the executioner. Would Rogal walk away free? Would he burn at the stake? Would he be imprisoned, simply? This ruse created to stir forth an idea that Rogal holds deep to him: that Morality is simply something we use to define what we think is right and wrong, even if it isn't.
In this primal state, a moment in which a group can decide the fate of a man, what would they choose? They chose chaos. Rogal summoned Laicelem to make a decision, and all hell broke loose.
Through Rogal's taunts, Melarue fired the first shot. Then another happened, and another. Fights between everyone broke out - people shooting people, vigilantism taking hold. Not even the lone guard could stop the Madness that had begun. Rogal was proud, and found that his faith was right - people are weak to their bare instincts. All it takes is a small nudge.
Through hours of fighting and pushing forward, driving people to the edge; Rogal was imprisoned. Wounded ever so, he was tended to. He now waits in a prison, for his trial by combat.
[ Nightmares for all ]
Rogal set forth nightmares unto Melarue, Elthea, and an attempted one at Laicelem (Grey Lady Girls Don't Sleep.)
Listed below are the descriptions of the nightmares:
[ Elthea ] The Grand Archives in which she so loves burns around her, with Melarue and the child trapped inside. She cannot get in, she cannot help. She must watch it burn to the ground. A lilac eye peers over all.
[ Melarue ] Flashes of destruction of all that Melarue has built for Dranoden. Chittering and endless laughter echoes over it - with a deep lilac eye seemingly following the destruction within the sky. At the end of each dream, she finds herself watching as the Archives burn, held back by the blue hands that she works for - and what is left in the dust is the skeletons of all she cares for.
