Lurking black & red sails can be viewed from towers in Alderwood Cove.
Some dockhands complain of a few strangers stalking them as they haul crates to and fro their own ships.

Within Alderwood Cove, rugged men and woman alike seem to be eyeing the buildings as they casually stroll along.
A letter arrives for Callico Kidd in the nearby Inn. The troupe met in the Merry mead is invited to board the ship and show the Cap'n their gusto. Tyinyk

I'll be hanging around Alderwood Cove on Thursday from 4pm-6pm and Friday from 3pm-5pm pst for those wanting to interact with some of the crew. If anyone has an event on these times, contact me and I'll reschedule. (Expectations: Two happenings - one for the troupe on Tuesday 3-5pm pst. Interactions are meant to be light combat or for investigations as there's a narrow timeline given)

Edit: Times are prone to changing

A day awakens to find Alderwood Cover under a clear sky. Citizens peek out from windows, dusting their rugs and opening doors with an air of relief for having gone through a raid within their streets. Two homes seemed disgruntled, having their valuables stolen. The warehouse by the docks claims a few crates were missing, but that the whole of their stock was intact and returned safely thanks to noble efforts of an armed, small group. Some whisper the red-marked Confectionary and Tavern stood untouched through the ordeal.. Perhaps peace-talks prior to the night, aided in some way. Three corpses, wrapped, appear by the graveyard, ready to be buried.

A peace comes within the small village- no longer will it stand victim from a certain Maroon Brigand.
The ship itself.. was sailing northward in search of an inquiring troupe or another village to torment.. then vanishes.

} Shattered Ruins {

{art credit}

They call the Eastern Waters the Shattered Ruins. Tropical mountains, hazy fogs, drowned ruins, exotic creatures- the Shattered Ruins are filled with wonders of a great watery abyss. Settlers of varying abandoned homes, pirates, and stranded sailors have made their marks, leaving remnants of their footprints and tamperings against nature. News of the land has been sparse from the greater civilization as adventurous seekers rarely find their way back. Knowledge about it remains a mystery.

} Red-Fin {

Creatures of both land and water fear the ferocious felines of the deep-blue

} The Pale Beast {

They say a creature as large as a kraken lurks within the waters, leaving ships destroyed and a certain crew vengeful as they claim it

} Skieels {

A beautiful glow of blue swiftly moves through the surface of waters.

(These creatures revealed themselves during the Sailing hunt for the Life Artifact. If your character went below waters, you may recognize them.)

} The Crooner of the Sea {

A crew of red with a Captain that calls himself the Crooner of the Sea sails around the coastline, attempting to sack small villages.
Alderwood Cove has seen the worse of their crew before they were driven out. They showed their true colors, lacking strength and communication.
Rumor has it the crew fought one another and disbanded after the Captain drained their treasures. But there has been no legitimate confirmation of it.

(All this is learnable)

} McGraw & The Sea Witch {

Years ago, a ship guided by a noble Captain and his wife found itself on a triangular island in the sea. Amazed by its appearance, they kept its knowledge secret and began to raise their own base. The Captain McGraw was well praised and many in his crew admired him. They built a statue of him, in likeness of a god of the sea, and one of his wife- in likeness of a siren.
They formed a.. following within a temple.
For years, they existed in peace, circumventing the routes of other ships heading their way, destroying them in wreckage. But they found themselves within a strange fog that caused their crew to turn on each other. Their numbers dwindled without a leader, hoping their locked temple would ward away looters, and few of these members remain.

(Only bits and pieces of this were uncovered for those in the S.V.R)

} Selthi's Sorrow {

A captain of red attire and red hair, hoisting a flag of a trident piercing the waves was a notorious pirate of the past. She raised orphans from abandoned homes and gave them a place upon her ship. However kind, her goals remained to take from others and gain a name for her crew, sacking coastline cities. During one battle out at sea, her closest family fell. She buried them within a treasured base, unintentionally binding their souls to the treasures of the land. She continued her raiding, but fell into a great sorrow, eventually falling ill and died upon her ship at sea. Her soul bound to her ship somehow, causing it to drown and kill her crew. The ship still roams, but a piece of her is now stolen.

(Bits were uncovered for the A.F.N)

FIN!!

Waves and storms scour the seas west of Astakos. A trade ship has been lost and no debris or trail of it made its way back to the nefarious coastal village for the past few weeks.
It's not out of the ordinary, for the deep sea has always been dangerous- It is said they have all likely been drowned.
