I've finally finished this 'lament' for Maceo.

They waited for him, in Haven in the shadow.
At the foot of the mountain, and view o'er the meadow.
Prayed to the Gods, for they knew the news of late.
Some Gods did answer, for they knew of his fate.

Have you news of Maceo? Did he win or did he yield?
I have not seen him, but in my heart I feel:
The coming of grief, a heartache instilled.

Pray to the Grey Lady, she without a name.

What news of Maceo? Is he alive or did he fall?
I know of his path, for I favor the bold.
His path is of peril, but he would not change his goal.
