One of the first settlements on this continent, Mockingbay is a city rich in culture and history. From the bustling docks of the lower district to the regal streets of the upper district, each new alley you walk down is a new site to behold.




Mockingbay is ruled over by House Azerwind which is a Monarchy. The Current line of Succession is as follows:

Mockingbay is situated directly at the mouth of a river, and thus the landscape is a mix of coastal and riparian land, with a large and heavily trafficked dock taking up a large portion of the coastal front. While the Lower District is more industrial to fit the needs of the Dock and its workers, the upper district is built in a way that maintains the beauty of the natural landscape, with rolling hills and fields of wheat. Between those is the newly built Market District, settled upon one an island, it is the centre point for all shopping in the City, all while still maintaining that embrace with nature that Mockingbay is known for. The city is largely encompassed by birch trees, and the terrain becomes less consistent as you move inland. Beyond the docks, the water leading up to the river is dotted with islands and islets, making navigation slightly complicated to anyone who has not travelled there before.

hello again, there's a LOT of information that I am going to be working from so this thread will take longer than the Stoltfar one. Sorry for any retags that may occur I'm just trying to keep things organised and in one place.

Formal Introduction to a project I've been working on for the past two months:

The Market District



This area comes with:
- More dock space (currently two new spots for boat ports, more to come)
- LOTS of buildings for shops and homes
- Big market square for stalls (and I will have some dotted around the area as well)
- A forge in need of a smith
- New Library
- Big tavern. (Still need to finish but looking for possible bar staff)
- and gardens ofc.


Still a lot of work to be done but the reason I announce this now is because I want to do a big market event when I get back to my active schedule, so I'm hoping this will bring some interest to the market square and for people to set up market stalls/shops. My hope is to have a really diverse range of stalls/shop fronts around the square by the time I host the event. SO if you are interested in setting up a business here HMU

No OOC rental fee on the buildings. ICly price and how its paid will vary.

Mockingbay citizens are slowly noticing cracks filled with flowers and grass, moss on old stone, tree branches growing wild and untended, and vines slithering up the sides of buildings. The seeds once sewn to appease a divine are still making their mark on the city, and as long as they are not causing any structural damage, the Queen seems content to continue to allow them to. Though Shalherana's overwhelming presence has all but faded from the city, it is clear that nature's is only growing stronger.



A project I am working on. Despite no longer being blessed, Citrine's mindset is still very much unchanged. I was trying to think of ways to make this evident and this came to mind. I will not be destroying builds completely, only adding little bits of leaves or grass and flowers here and there. As it is not magic and just natural growth, I am doing so very slowly, so there are only parts of the city that are actually affected at the moment, but overtime I hope to make all three districts of Mockingbay, while still very much functioning, appear overgrown. Just making this post in case people see the little areas and wonder what's going on.

also this is definitely fuelled by my obsession with abandoned aesthetics.

It’s two weeks until I’m back on a normal schedule and thus two weeks until I can FINALLY plan this market event. SO bumping this. I need patrons for stalls and shops. You don’t have to have them there permanently. Im hoping the crafting and harvesting plug-ins will allow us a wide range of stalls selling all sorts of crafts and materials, as well as any of the usual foods/drinks and such.
