Who we Are:
The Hunters' Guild is dedicated to the defense of family, home, and honor. We are dedicated individuals who value camaraderie, respect for nature, and peace of mind for the innocent. We come from all walks of life, bound together by our common goals.

What we Do:
This guild is dedicated to the extermination of threats to the innocent, mostly of a beastly nature, but when needed of human or even supernatural form. It is well documented that the fauna of the New Kingdoms can be dangerous. While the most threatening creatures lie mostly dormant, it is undeniable that they may yet emerge as they breed, and impinge on the lives of the Kingdoms' defenseless citizens. Our primary goal is to drive these creatures back to the wilds. The Guild operates on a contract basis, and available member(s) may take assignments on their own volition. We hunt with respect for nature. Each usable part of the slain beasts will be repurposed.

Along with the namesake of hunting, The Hunters' Guild is also a knowledge pool for its members, and a way to hone skills among those qualified to teach them, in order to become a more deadly hunter.

Religious Inclination:
The Slayers' Guild was aligned to Rahas, and this guild can never forget its roots and the beliefs of its former master, Gael Dugald. However, the matron deity of this iteration of the guild is the White Wolf, Theodra. This ideal is that of the Founder, derived from the Rangers Guild. Worshiping Theodra is not a requirement for this guild, of course. Worshipers of most of the Divines are welcome in this guild.

How to Join:
Joining the guild will not be as simple as asking, however, there is reasoning for this. To allow an inexperienced individual to throw themselves at a threat too great would be irresponsible. Those who wish to join the guild should contact the guildmaster, Thryss Vendolyn. Those interested will be tested.

The Guild Code:
~Know the dangers of taking on the wilds.
[Eventually, this Guild will participate in hunts for Staff DM'd creatures, who will be dangerous, and will be able to kill your character. Participating in such a hunt is consent to injury at the very least.]

~Respect your quarry, and respect nature. Waste not the bodies of our fallen prey.

~Sow no personal dissent within the ranks of this guild.
[I just want to hunt stuff. Don't make this any type of soap opera, please. Obviously, if your character has a problem with the guild as a whole, or how it's run, or someone is actually doing something that does not align with the guild's code, this is a valid concern and can be RP'd out accordingly.]

~Report suspicious contracts to the other Guild members.

~Learn to work with your allies and do not throw yourself wantonly at danger.
[Don't be a hero, you might die. This guild is also about camaraderie. You'll probably be spoken to IC if you make a habit of endangering yourself for style points.]

Joining the Hunters' Guild:
Contacting the Guildmaster, Thryss Vendolyn, is the first step toward becoming a member of the Hunters' Guild. Applicants will be tested in groups. To say what this test entails here would remove the element of surprise, but the test will require cunning, combat prowess, and teamwork.

Guild Member Requirements:
~A general respect for nature - do not desecrate the environs in which we hunt or the quarry which we track.
~Combat experience - to allow adventurers with no experience in combat would be irresponsible. You must know how to fight to join.
~A willingness to work with others
~To learn the Guild's Code [Assume this is public knowledge. This requirement means "read the rules."]
~To participate when called upon [Not everyone can attend every event, I know that. Just be an active roleplayer in general.]

Members:
Thryss Vendolyn | Guildmaster
Kazu | Initiate | Citrine
Rook Corvus | Initiate | ZeAfroGentleman
Aelyth Fuvur | Initiate | Elz
Aryn | Initiate | Lannis

Hunters' Guild Contract

IGN:
No. of Members Requested:
Description:

The Hunters' Guild operates on a contract basis, and will only accept jobs presented as such, unless under dire circumstances. Contracts for 1-2 individuals generally should not require Guild review, but larger contracts will be discussed by the Guild, to determine that the contracted hunt is one of good nature.
