Not much movement from '17 to '20:
  1. Heat
  2. Goodfellas
  3. Apocalypse Now
  4. Raiders of the Lost Ark
  5. American Psycho
  6. Pulp Fiction
  7. Predator
  8. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
  9. Wall Street
  10. Thunderball
I tried to narrow down all my favorites loosely based on how often I see them, then realized I probably made a list back in '17. Looking back, it was kind of interesting to me to see what stayed and what didn't. Leaving out Raiders was a mistake, I love that movie and feel like watching it tonight. Most of those picks are pretty "movie bro", so I also will include a slightly more interesting list of top 10 VHS tapes to buy at the thriftstore if you like cheesy movies from any era:

  1. In Gold We Trust
  2. Time Cop
  3. Python (combine Anaconda and Komodo for giant reptile movie night)
  4. The Ghosts of Mars
  5. Fire Storm
  6. Ghost Ship
  7. Soul Taker
  8. Deep Blue Sea
  9. Pitch Black (see fig. 1)
  10. House of the Dead (includes footage from the popular arcade game of the same name)
  11. and Future Sport with "special guest appearance" from Wesley Snipes (he co-stars in the film and is on the front of the box)

Honorable mentions include Buddhist Shaolin Avengers which is obviously missing scenes and uses what is probably an unlicensed recreation of the "Godfather Theme", Omega Cop "with" Adam West (he's not really in the movie at all), and Dracula 3000 which features Coolio wearing costume store vampire teeth (see fig. 2). These three are unincluded from the list above because as far as I know, no VHS tape copies exist. I wanted to include this movie Nightfall by Kevin De Luilo (which is on VHS), but I can't find any information about it, like when it was made or how it was released. I can't even find any info on the director, nor the production company... anyways, it has an FBI guy hunting a vampire and there's a scene with a super cheesy flaming skull that flies right towards the camera. Pretty great.

My love for Casino and other Scorsese movies is implied by my high listing of Goodfellas, just like my love for the Godfather trilogy is implied by Apocalypse Now. Really though, I just wanted space to include the 1965 Bond movie Thunderball which has a seven minute long underwater battle scene with tons of divers shooting spears at each other. It also has a dude with an eyepatch, who has a yacht equipped with a hydrofoil and feeds people to sharks.
