Bows
Survival Bows
These bows are typically made from green, or only partially dried woods. They are likely to break down over time but are tillered like any other bow.
Lengths range from 48 to 60 inches. Each string comes waxed with beeswax. With their low draw weight, they are most suited to practice and emergencies.
These bows can be fitted with any quality bowstring, but why would you want to? Prices start at 2000 for a common-quality wood bow fitted with a cotton-fiber string.
Self Bows
These bows are made from a single piece of wood that is properly dried, shaped, and then tillered, with a round profile. They can be used long-term with proper maintenance.
Lengths range from 48 to 60 inches. Each string comes waxed with beeswax. Draw weights can be low to intermediate, making these bows suited for hunting or practice.
These bows can be fitted with any quality bowstring, and will see longer lives with those of better quality. Prices start at 3000 for a common-quality wood bow fitted with a cotton-fiber string.
Recurve Bows
These bows are made from a single piece of wood that is properly dried, shaped, and then tillered, with a flat, curvy profile. They can be used long-term with proper maintenance.
Lengths range from 48 to 60 inches. Each string comes waxed with beeswax. Draw weights are intermediate, making these bows suited for hunting.
These bows can be fitted with any quality bowstring, and will see longer lives with those of better quality. Prices start at 6000 for a common-quality wood bow fitted with a cotton-fiber string.
Longbows
These bows are made from a single piece of wood that is meticulously seasoned, shaped, and tillered, with a round profile. They will see long lives with proper maintenance.
Lengths range from 60 inches to 70 inches. Each string is high quality, and comes waxed. The high draw weights of these bows make them indispensable for monster hunting.
These bows are fitted with high-quality bow strings, that need infrequent changing. Prices start at 8000 for a yew bow fitted with a tendon bowstring at minimum.
Arrows
Broadheads
These arrows are fitted with broad wrought-iron tips that can either be curved, or straight. They are suited for hunting medium-sized game, such as boar, and deer.
The straight arrowheads provide a deeper cut than the curved. Prices for a bundle of six arrows start at 450.
Bodkins
These arrows are fitted with slimmer-profiled wrought iron tips, of varying widths, from 'standard' to 'needle'. They are suited for hunting large game, and monsters.
At close range, they are useful for piercing the armor plating of monsters such as Kaiser Scorpions. Prices for a bundle of six arrows start at 550.
Fork-Tips
These arrows are fitting with broad, two-pronged wrought iron tips. They are suited for hunting birds, and efficient rending of the flesh of charging beasts.
The two-prong design ensures a lower probability of a glancing blow off an avian target's plumage. Prices for a bundle of six arrows start at 650.
